The Wild Bunch
Some of the work here has been contributed by others, whose creativity, toil and vision are duly appreciated. You may wonder who these fine people are, and why they would do such a crazy thing. We often wonder ourselves.
Steve Madill is a talented writer of stories and a man of his word. It is from his tales that the character of Sir Mithmore Thornshrike is drawn. Without Steve's craft, there would be no inspiration from which to create such a character. His website, Phred, and the Empire [www.phred.ca], better tells his stories, in more detail and less paraphrasing, than is related here. His site is mentioned often in Second Sanctum, simply because it is worth the visit. Some of Mithmore's documents were written by Steve, and they are so noted.
Curtis Carter is also a writer of stories, a game designer, and a man worthy of much more success. It is from his world that the character of Rancorr Blackmane sprang. His game, "Legends", is still a work in progress, and we hope it nears completion. Thanks for everything, Curtis, including introducing us all together. Without you, so many things would have been impossible - none of us should ever forget that. Nor how much of a true friend you are. And it's nice to have you back in the fold. [P.S. Barracuda sucked.]
Michael Stewart is the best kind of friend; one that never judges, only accepts and supports. And yet, he can be a real bastard, which is why Redstring became such a vivid character. The character was created for him in a roleplaying game, but soon took on a life of its own - a life Michael breathed into it. Without his gifted flippancy, refined insolence and brilliant guile, Redstring would not have the voice he does today. Some of Redstring's songs were originally written by Michael, as well as other pieces, where noted. He has since chosen to forego all this foolishness for the better (and more difficult) task of raising a family. We are all jealous of your happiness and just want to be there when your daughter brings home her first boyfriend to meet you - the poor, poor, unsuspecting fool.
Adam Bernstien (alias: Bernie) is also one of those people who defy catagory. In many ways, he plays against type. He's a punk (in the Sex Pistols vein) and is quite vocal with his opinions. Yet, when gathered around the table for a night of roleplaying, he is perhaps the consummate gamer in politeness and group etiqutte. Not that any of his characters share this etiquette, mind you, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Bernie is also a prolific creator of art and writing, a growing media talent, and a forgiving soul. Bernie has written several songs that are included in Redstring's Repertoire, and is noted as such. More than everything, though, he is the youngest of us and has such potential to be the best of us. The kids are alright.
There are others who have contributed their own to the story in general. Though they have made little in the way of direct contributions to Second Sanctum, without their adventurous minds the stories of Skylis would not be what they are today.
Many thanks to Rene C., Jessica C., Michael C., Bob C., Omar C., Jennifer D., Rory D., Mrs. Delapena, Michelle E., the Emery Family, Jeff F., Rob G., Michael G., Mrs. Jekir, Claire J., Jason K., Matt K., Raif M., Conrad N., Stephen P., Jim R., Dave T., Rob V., Steven W., and others who we are remissed in not remembering.
