I hate the orcs, I really do. There is no stragety involved with
playing them. It's just bloodlust - kill! Nothing else. Sure there
may be orcish players who use other things, but watch how they play,
and if they don't use bloodlust at least once, they are not playing
the "orcish way" :) The orcish voices are better than the humans (with
the exeption of the footman:)). I like "This way, No that way!" Much
better than "I need orders!" I don't know how you couldn't :)Anyway...
Death Knight
Death and Decay:
The only difference this has with Blizzard is that Blizzard comes down
at an angle, therefore it is harder to tell exactly where Blizzard
is hitting. And the orcs don't have invisibility to use with it:)
But it's still possible to use the magebomb principle. (see
humans) But I guess you could combine this
with Unholy Armor or Haste...
Death Coil:
Another decent orcish spell. A lot better than fireball, so much better
that if there is humans vs. orcs and everything is equal, mages and
death knights are involved, and there is no other magic, the orcs
will almost always win. It takes away some life from something,
and gives it to your Death Knight (by the way critters have 5 hp, if
you're desperate, it's an easy more five for your deathie).
Unholy Armor:
This spell just sucks... You get 13 seconds (wow! [sarcasm]) of life
to do whatever with, and after 13 seconds guess what? Not only does
the unit lose invicibility, it also has ½ life. This wouldn't be a
problem exept the orish players have no way of healing themselves.
Haste:
Puts the speed of any unit up to ogre. Does not doulble attack damage
for any unit exept the dragon
I can't remember the rest of the Death Knight spells right now, so
they can't be that good :)
Ogre-Mages
Eye of Kilrogg:
Holy Vision is much better. This acts just like an incredibly fast
flying machine that has no sight beyond 2 feet
Bloodlust:
Yahoo! Triples the damage of ogres! Doubles for all other units. Think
about that, nine bloodlusted ogres could kill 27 paladins! The only
defense I know for the humans is to either use slow a whole bunch
(which still only halves the damage) or to stop the orcs from getting
Bloodlust
Runes:
Fun, very fun. I must say that. Creates five little runes that do
a lot of damage to anything that walks in them. They do work (sort of)
on water. What I like to do (in the rare event that I'm orcs) is
to cast them between the Town hall and mine. Boom! Or (a very good
tip e-mailed me) bring a death knight and an ogre-mage. Cast runes
on some stationay people. Then cast Death&Decay! If them move Bam!
Runes get 'em, if they dont' move, D&D gets 'em. The computer likes
to fall for this one (must be fun for it :)) Good luck defending against
it. All I can come up with is good recan to prevent the pair from
getting close enough to do this...
