I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: 1. Better for beginners
It is easier for a beginner to remember the purposes of the
buildings when they are human. A stable for horses to get
knights, makes sense. But a mound? And what's a Temple of
the Damned, anyhow? Prerequisites make more sense on human.
2. Better for intermediates
Healing is a very reassuring thing to have. It's good to
be able to pull out of a battle that you're losing and know
that you can save most of your guys, and that the nearly-dead
ones aren't useless.
Holy vision is a very useful recon tool, and your enemies
don't know where you're looking (unlike Eye of Kilrogg)
There are NO lame human spells. Every single one is useful
for some specific purpose. I don't know many people who like
Whirlwinds, for example. And how often do YOU use resurrection
spells?
Some human spells are deadly. Polymorph for example. Ok,
it's one-shot, but five mages can take out five dragons, or
five bloodlusted ogre mages or WHATEVER. Instantly.
Invisibility is incredibly useful. (if only it worked on
those sappers!) Blizzard? The COMPANY's called "Blizzard".
That spell's GOT to be good. Slow works nicely, especially
since it's CHEAP.
3. Better for advanced players
How would I know?

Reasons: Invisibility, then Blizzard, then dead peons. I love it.:)

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: I fully admit that the Humans are at a strategic disadvantage while the Orcs have
Bloodlust and until they have Mages; This is exactly why I prefer them. Strategy is
what attracts me (addicts me) to WC2, and I think it requires better strategy to win as
the Humans against an Orc opponent. So even though I lose more often than not, and
even though I hate to lose with a decidedly unhealthy passion, when I win as the
Humans I feel like it was me (and not Bloodlust) that determined the outcome.

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: One word: Gotcha!
play him and tell me that you can beat his bastard mages
even with bloodlust. The worst players play humans. The
good players and average players (me) play orcs for bloodlust.
The awesome players (gotcha) play humans because they know
how to use them.
Anyway, the human buildings look so much more domesticated.
And the trolls remind me of Abby. So i can't possibly like them.

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: I must say this Tou guy took the words right outta my
mouth! I also usually use orcs BECAUSE I believe they are
at the disadvantage, creating more competition for me.
Tou is 100% correct in saying that if you use the humans
properly the orcs are in trouble! There shouldn't be any
Deathknights hangin' around anywhere when there are Paladins
around. See the humans should constantly harrass and sneak
attack the orcs with poly, invisible surprise blizzards, and
of course....the surprise exorcisms!! If you initiate these
sneak attacks correctly, the orcs should be kept from getting
large amounts of full strength ogres. (if your opponent has a
good ally who heals his ogres...oh well!) Most dangerous
thing orcs can do: hasted, unholied, death decay weilding,
Deathknights. As I said, if you are human, make Paladins, and
if your smart- start the anti deathknight invisible Pal-campaign.
And of course!!! sneak hit the Ogres often! If Og's are on
the offense alot than you are in trouble.

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: The human spells are more useful to one that knows how to use them.
Humans are also more effective in water levels becuase Gryphons can be healed.
One might think that the Orcs are better because of bloodlust, but a mage can
equalize the Orcs by using slow. They also have flame shield, which can be very
useful when mixed with invisability on a water level. Polymorph(if used wisely)
can make dragons in to pathetic critters.(theres a useful way to spend 2500 gold)
Also I've noticed that the human AI is better when you're playing as them. You will
tell a trooper to go somewhere, and he doesn't always stop when he hits a forestline
or whatever, he finds a new route better than an Orc could.(especially Ogres)
Plus humans have MUCH cooler responces, and say funnier things when annoyed.
I love hearing a Paladens voice say:"For the KING!"

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: Humans are better then the Orcs.. Ok ok.. 99% of the people
that play as the humans dont have a CLUE on how to play them
correctly. Ya bloodlust kicks ass, but deathknights suck,
every orc spell other then bloodlust and death & decay
is useless. The game all comes down to who knows how to use
Ogres, and who knows how to use Mages.

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: I think humans are better not becasue of polymorph (too much
mana) but because invisibility. This spell allows us noble
folk (hehehe) to do many sneaky things. Making transports full
of dwarves, mages, or just about anything else can really turn
the tide on a sea level, not to mention casting excorcism on
those pesky Dknights with your invisible paladins. Also, invisible
mages are probably the most feared unit in the game.

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: One Word:BLOODLUST!!!!, oh, wait a sec, wrong species...
When the Humans are handled by an excellent player, there is no
contest. Invisible Mages, Invisible Paladins, Invisible
Flaming Peons....Bloodlust is impressive and cheap, but
not nearly as effective as a mage bomb. That is a simple
fact. Yet, mages are weak in the mana dept. Still, if you can afford
a mage, you can afford alot of mages. Orcs are easier,
but properly used humans are indestructable....If you want to test
my theory, Im at Starlink all the time.....
Name: Chris Van Orman (Jakrath)
Date: Saturday, May 4, 8:39:50 a.m. (Eastern)
I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: It takes no thought to play the orcs. Only kill!!!! But
with the humans there is actually strategy. With paladins
invisiblitized they can wipe out a few deathknights with
exorcism. On the other hand the orcs have no such advantage
One mage with full spell points can wipe out half of a
charging army if he is played right. Deathknights have this
advantage as well, but they can be reached by paladins
(as mentioned before). Also the orcs take to much wood
to build up while the humans use more gold (which harvests
faster). As well, the human archers do more damage then
berserkers (they get the extra +3). So all-in-all
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HUMANS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Name: Greg Shaffer (Shaf)
Date: Saturday, May 4, 9:39:14 a.m. (Eastern)
I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: Bloodlust: take it down with slow, blizzard, or demolition
squads.
Invisible mage casting blizzard on peasants: no defense.
Bloodlust is counterable; invisible mages are not.

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: Mages
Name: Sgt.York
Date: Saturday, May 4, 3:15:33 p.m. (Eastern)
I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: Orcs may have bloodlust but for the intelligent and
strategic players the humans Slow, Heal (for air units),
and most important of all...exorcism spells outweigh
bloodlust. Basically exorcism means humans can get mages
and orcs can't get D-Knights. Mages are great for taking
out walled in relocations. Also, any pathetic orc air
attacks will just flush craploads of money down the
toilet due to polymorph. Bloodlust is olny superior
to all human spells (like the orc entries suggest)
if the battle is with only Knights/Ogres. Players with
skill that use other units will find that air and
magic units are much easier to maintain and for useful
with humans.

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: One word = BLOODLUST!!! Whoops! I mean, humans are better
because Warcraft II is a real-time STRATEGY game. When
playing the humans, you have more winning STRATEGIES
available to you and your opponents can never be quite sure
which one you're going to use. Just ask anyone who has played
Gotcha!, Shaf or Ricardo. Sometimes they kick your butt with
invisible paladins ("Hey!!! What happened to my Death
Knights?"), the next game they kick your butt with invisible
mages ("Hey!!! Where did that blizzard come from?"), then
in the next game they kick your butt with invisible transports
("Hey!!! How did those six dwarven bomb squads get so close
to my base?").
Don't get me wrong, the orcs kick some serious ass. The
problem is they only have one STRATEGY: bloodlust (check out
the orc voting page if you don't believe me). After a while,
it gets boring playing the same strategy all the time. That's
why even very good orc-players like Shlonglor and Vermeer have
to take a break sometimes and go smurfing. It gives them a
chance to play and use different STRATEGIES (even if the
STRATEGIES are just for fun--check out the story "Elfen Magic"
to see what I mean).
Ogres/bloodlust, ogres/bloodlust, ogres/bloodlust, starts to
get a little monotonous after a while. As a player who enjoys
variety and STRATEGY when playing, my vote has to go for the
humans.
Name: David James (Uther)

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: 1. Magic. Humans have way better magic. The Humans
have an alternative to all the Death Knights Magic and some
better Magic. The only cool Death Knight's spells are Death
and Decay and Death Coil. The rest pretty much blow. At least
I've not found any really good uses for the other spells.
The whirlwind just sucks. Unholy Armor does not really
last long enough to be useful. Raise the Dead just has not
been useful to me at all.
2. Excorcism. Noone can get a Death
Knight anywhere near my Paladins without
fearing Exorcism. Exorcism can kill a Death
Knight in one Hit.
3. Invisibility Invisible mages, transports,
Paladins kick ass. (And anyone can kick ass
when they are flaming and invisible)
4. Slow Slow can cancel out haste, and
it causes the victim to attack twice as slow.
(So bloodlust gets screwed)
5. Polymorph Polymorph dragons, unholy armored guys
anything. Pretty self-explanatory.
Here are all the orc things that are cancelled out by human
stuff:
Bloodlust: Slow
Haste: Slow
Death Knights: Excorcism
Dragons: Polymorph
And everything else the orcs have just plain
blows. That's why humans are better. Do you really think
bloodlust cancels out all that?

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: I originally liked the orcs better, just because it was neat
to be a monster attacking humans. However, for game play I
eventually came to like the humans better. For several reasons
1. I like the healing ability of the horsemen that the orcs
don't have.
2. I like the rain of ice by the mages and the mages are cool
anyway you look at them.
3. I like the bowmen's upgrades better than the axethrower's.
4. I like the demo guy's voices better.
However, it could be a real challenge to decide when some of
the orc stuff is pretty cool like the dragons and the tornados
I like the morphing things from either side.
Oh, and I'm 36, so it's not just a kid's opinion.

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: Well i like and play Orcs, but i do feel that if the game
was played at normal speed (1/2 on the speed bar) that the
Humans would be better. But most games on kali are not, and
that takes alot away from the human players. I think most of
the human spells lean to defence, and it is tough to cast
Slow on bloodlusting Ogers or heal troops when the game is
moving so fast. The human spells are better, just need time
to use them.

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: Well, i think the humans have a big advantage on the sea
stages because of their mages, just get the spell slow and
blizzard. Slow the other guys juggernuts and cast blizzard.
Nothing they can do about that. Also you can slow the jugger
nuts and just hit the with balastia. Invs trans ports make
the humans have a real big advantage, if someone has a
blockcade of ships just invs a transport then send your guys
right to there island...This has worked for me many times.
I think the orcs are a little better on land though, but
overall I would have to go with the humans..;)

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: The Orcs can't touch Human magic (especially Polymorph!),
as it can destroy everything the Orcs could possibly throw
at you (using much magic, however). While I agree that there
isn't much you can do if a couple of 3 bloodlusted Ogres
decide they don't like your mages, there is another issue...
You DO have an army! I also say the Humans have the
advantage because of the archers. Archers can provide
effective cover fire for almost every unit. Also, Paladins
are a big advantage over the Orcish Death Knights. One hit!

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: I simply enjoy the humans more. A huge army of max upgraded
paladins will *not* win you a game. One spell will *not*
win you a game. Can you guess what I'm talking about? :)
I find when I play orcs.. I center most strats around ogres
and their bloodlust. I find most my opponents center their
strats w/bloodlust. You can talk about hasted dragons, and
ripping with [hasted] deathcoil.. but really it's all
about bloodlust.. besides our paladins can shut deathmages
up quick. With humans I'll be using varying units and
strategies to achieve my directives. I think they are
tougher to master. If the game is slow though or it's a
water level I think the scales are tipped.. in some cases
maybe even in the humans favor. The ranging abilities of
the mages make them *excellent* for island protection vs
landing parties, aerial assaults, and naval assaults. Slow,
invisibility, flame shield, polymorph, blizzard.. all have
there place and are useful tools.. only the freebie fireball
is a joke. The knight's spells don't match the ogre magis,
though healing is useful particularly for birds and mages,
and if your opponent(s) are deathcoiling excorism is great
[w/ invisibility too] though I've had orc opponents *just*
stick with bloodlusted ogres..
So I feel the humans are better on water levels (well the
bigger island ones anyways) or in slow[er] games, and I like
to play them better because you really have to stretch your
skills and strats, *particulary* on fast land levels.

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: Dragon's with bloodlust and haste are easy prey for
mages with polymorph. Death Knights are defenseless against
invisible Paladins, and a cool player named
Gotcha! like's the Humans. So there.

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: Invisibility is the spell that makes humans the greatest by
far. And not because you can make a mage invisible and then
go and throw down a blizzard, it is a much more well rounded
spell than that. And the fire shield thrown on a ship is a
great weapon as well. Bloodlust can kick your butt, but
overall, the correct use of invisibility makes you the great
player. See you in Kali.

I think the Humans are the best.
Reasons: I look at it this way: Humans are better because the ONLY
thing that the Orcs have in their favor is Bloodlust- but
an advanced player will have been equipped to deal with this,
by the use of mages/slow to negate bloodlust. The humans'
magic is so much better. I'll cite some examples:
1. Healing makes for REUSABLE attack squads=less overhead.
2. Slow basically turns bloodlust/haste off.
3. The orcs have no "instant death" spells like poly and exorcisim.
4. Invisibilty CANNOT be countered in any direct way.
5. Slow can be used by a mage to enable his escape from a tight
spot; a death night needs another death night in order to do
the same thing(either via haste/unholy armor):
(I.E. you cant see invisible mages casting blizzard)
