This page contains information on how to perform the quests to get special tied weapons, such as a returning axe. Each section below shows how to get a special weapon. The BBS quest does not require a moonstone ring, but the other 2 of these quests require one, so make sure you have it!
Returning Axe
In order to get a returning axe, you must first get an obsidian egg. Obsidian eggs are found on the King Wolf, a wolf that wanders around Axe-Glacier and looks like any other wolf. If you manage to find him and kill him (which is easier said than done sometimes), take the obsidian egg and go to Vulcan. Vulcan is located near the climb up to the Axe Drake's lair, but southeast of the rope up. You must wear a moonstone ring and it must be night time. Then, step on the portal hex that is surrounded by 3 large pillars of stone. Once you are teleported inside Vulcan's Forge, drop a few gold pieces around so that his daughter does not take your obsidian egg. Then, drop it on his hex and say "Vulcan, train me". He will then drop the Returning Axe at your feet, and make sure you pick it up quickly.
Black Broadsword
Black Broadswords are a great weapon for people just starting out and for experienced veterans because of its great blocking ability. To get a Black Broadsword, you must first find some ore and ytrill, two rocks that are found scattered throughout Kesmai -3 and in other lands. Once you obtain both of these rocks, take them to Ironbar. Ironbar can be found by going due east of the recall ring seller in Kesmai, until you see a hole in the ground to climb down. Just past this hole is Ironbar's forge. Put the 2 rocks at his feet and say "Ironbar, train me". He will then drop a Black Broadsword for you to take.
Silver Greataxe
Silver Greataxes are often sought out because certain lair monsters can only be hurt with silver weapons. The only other silver weapon is a silver dagger, and you don't get much power with that. To get a Silver Greataxe, you must first find 2 rocks, ore and ytrill. These rocks are scattered around Kesmai -3 and in other lands. Once you have these 2 rocks, you must go to Silvermoon's forge. Silvermoon is located near the portal complex of Axe-Glacier. Slightly south of the portal complex you will see a statue, and a hex that looks different one hex northwest of it. Step on this hex while wearing a moonstone ring and you will be teleported into Silvermoon's forge. Drop the 2 rocks on his hex and say "Silvermoon, train me". He will then drop a Silver Greataxe for you to take.
