The Guilds
Advancing in Ranks within a guild is very important in order to gain benefits but it isn't always easy. In order to advance, you will need certain qualities:
Rank | Minimum Reputation | Minimum Highest Skill | Minimum Second Highest Skill |
0 | 0 | 22% | 4% |
1 | 10 | 30% | 8% |
2 | 20 | 38% | 12% |
3 | 30 | 46% | 16% |
4 | 40 | 54% | 20% |
5 | 50 | 62% | 24% |
6 | 60 | 70% | 28% |
7 | 70 | 78% | 32% |
8 | 80 | 86% | 36% |
9 | 90 | 94% | 40% |
But remember, you can only be promoted monthly.
There are many Guilds and every one of them has specific characteristics.
Here is a brief list of the Guilds you can find in the Iliac Bay and their features.
It offers a place to sleep and cheaper repairs, but nothing more. Good for low level fighters.
The perfect guild for spellcasters, it offers many benefits and various kinds of quests.
To join this guild, you will need to steal ten times and wait some days. Then you will receive a quest and become a member. It's easy to advance but there aren't many benefits.
If you kill 2 or 3 persons in a town, you will be contacted by a member of the Dark Brotherhood, and if you complete his quest, you will join the guild. It offers many benefits (spymaster, buy soul gems, buy potions, etc) but you can only get boring dungeon missions.
These guild are very common and very strange. The missions you can get there (boring dungeon missions) aren't paid and apparently there are no benefits for members. However, working for nobles raises both your reputation and your wealth and as you become higher in rank you will get more interesting missions.
Temples are very common guilds in the Iliac Bay. Every temple worships a god and has specific characteristics. Every character should join a temple because advancing is very easy (donations are very helpful in that) and you can get all kinds of quests.
