Evolution of a Knight

Let me begin by introducing myself. My name is Ha'azim of Sand'oria. I am a Rank 5 Vana'Dielian Knight and pearlsac holder. These are my stories, my adventures, my life. As I walk in the footsteps of the many who have tread before me I humble my self, and adhere to the old code of honor. Turn these pages with care as my song engulfs your very being.

The Noble Heart

Ok let me bring you up to speed. Many moons have passed since I first took on this the Adventure of A lifetime. My life in Vana'Diel began as a lone monk soloing mobs trying to perfect and master the way of the lone fist. An arduous and difficult task levels came slowly and I would not be truthful if i said giving up never crossed my mind. But then I found the true essence of the Monks lifestyle In helping others. It was through these honourable ventures that I met Kougaiji the WhiteMage, and Baul the Warrior. As we ventured through Vana'Diel these two became my closest of companions, my partners, and my right hand men. Kougaiji was A Pearlsac holder for the Vanadelian Knights. It was through his introduction that I became a member, and eventually an esteemed Knight as well. With the help of the Knights my adventures began to grow and blossom into the web of love, death, and triumph we call "The Life of an Adventurer."

May 31st 2005

I have a lot on my plate today. I have been informed by Blitz that a small party of VK members have decided to engage in a static party to gain experiance points. I have been requested to bring my Ranger to hel[ further these efforts. The only problem is, my ranger is currently only level 21, and they party is lv 24. So I must somehow gain three levels by 8:30 P.M. No small feet, but for VK as myself anything is possible.
Another issue I'm dealing with today is funding. It has become aware to me, since my Job change from Monk to Ranger, that Ranger is probably the most expensive job available to keep up. I suppose that is why Ranger is the most powerful Mele Damage Dealer. I am a bit low on cash and i need to upgrade my armor. An unkown benefactor from my Knights offered to loan me a few Gil which was greatly appreciated, but i just could not keep it today for somereason. Maybe I still carry some of that Monk pride in my heart. I did what I feel any self respectign man would have done in my shoes... I went out and worked. Starting early this morning and late into the after noon you could find me Swinging my axe in the forests of Ghelsba trying to log the best trees for selling. My first run was quite successful. Even though there were several other lumberjacks in the forest that day, and competition was fierce, A Knight is always dilligent. Without any extra armor (in order to keep my person light enough to carry maximum wood), I relied only on my dagger and wits to keep both my items and my person safe from the blood thirsty orcs overrunning ghelsba. Coming back to town i went straight to the Auction House and began to peddle the fruit of my labor. Amazingly the more expensive Logs i cut, such as elm, Sold before I could even make it home to my Mog House. Excited with the gil that was flowing in I decided to make another couple of runs to the forest. Running back and forth to and from town gave me plenty of time to think about other ways to make gil. It was then that i remembered the fights that Kougaiji and i had in Delkfutt Tower when i showed off the awesome power of my monk to him while felling Giant after Giant in a one on one death match. If i remember corectly these giants carry a significant amount of gil on them. If I change jobs again to my monk i could go to Delkfutt tower and a mass a good amount of money with only a little effort while simultaneously taking bloody pride in embarrassing an enemy three times my size. Although i did not get around to this today, there is always tommorow i can travle here to hunt them.
It was getting late, and i still needed to lv my Ranger in order to join the other nights in their party on the jungle island of Khazham. Power Bow in hand I boarded the airship to Jeuno and made my way from the port to the Island of Qufim. Here as soon as I placed my party flag over my head i was invited to a party and so began my leveling frenzy for the day. I would take part of three different parties before the day was over, and i was bested by the enemy twice. Knights never stay down though, and I came back and obliterated whole species of mobs for their futile resistance. finaly later in the night I achieved my lofty goal of lv 24! It was a momentous occasion shared by my fellow VK Sephren who had been fighting by my side with the same uncanny ferociousness as the dragon that protected his every step. As we cheered are victory and discussed the unworthy members of our party's mistakes i began to realize how exhausted I truly was. It was time to go home to Sand'Oria. No sooner had i stepped off the airship, and I recieve an ivitation from a familiar person pleading to me for help in Kazham. I knew I was tired, but i could not resist the call of the Jungles of Kazham begging me to come back. Agreeing to come for a short time, I embarked on the air ship again. This time to Kazham via Jeuno. When I got there i realized i was not the only Ranger in the party and I knew this was going to be fun. I have never seen so much carnage in parties as when two or more Rangers get together in the same party. The efficiency with which we kill is utterly awesome. The party began to wear on into the night and I realized that I was actualy near to level 25!!! I bid the rest of the party good night as I attained the lofty level 25 and made my way back to town. At this time i was so utterly fatigued i could barely lift my bow. I think ill just stay at a rent-a-room in Kazham tonight. im too tired to travel back home to Sand'Oria. Wow this turned out to be a very productive day. Tomorow my mission is to get into the Giants Stronghold and destroy it. then possibly Ill find my fellow VK in Kazham again for more mele action and another couple of levels.
