With this web page, I hoped to present to you strategies, combos, and obscure uses for a new
Magic: The Gathering card every single day. I now have a child, so you'll get a new card when it is handy for me :)
The Card of the Day is...
Siege-Gang Commander
Scourge Rare
3RR
Creature -- Goblin 1R, Sacrifice a Goblin: Siege-Gang Commander deals 2 damage to target creature or player.
2/2
Goblin decks can quickly win many games for you, but they sometimes can run out of steam if you don't crush your opponent quickly. An angry Siege-Gang Commander can help a Goblin deck get rolling again rather well. This Goblin is far from the largest, but he can not only deal direct damage for just 1R and a Goblin, he brings his own fodder. The Siege-Gang Commander has another odd and promising ability: it brings a total of four creatures into play with just one card. Here are some ideas:
Goblin Warrens / Goblin Offensive / Warbreak Trumpeter
Getting extra Goblins to use as ammo for the Siege-Gang Commander isn't too hard with the help of these handy token Goblin creature creater cards.
Goblin King / Goblin General / Goblin Caves / Goblin Shrine ...
Simple enough, just make your Goblins hefty with help of any of these fine cards.
Goblin Goon
Even though the Goblin Goon is large enough to fell most of its opponents, it is too scared to attack or block unless your creatures outnumber your opponent's. The Siege-Gang Commander is a great way to swing the creature count in your favor so your Goon can do his thing.
