I usually prefer Stangg or Rock Basilisk in the red+green huge creature category, but I often use Jerrard of the Closed Fist too for variety, surprise, and it sounds cool. Combos to pull off with old Jerrard? In a way:

• Sword of the Chosen
  Jerrard of the Closed Fist is but one of many legends that can be pumped up really cheaply with the Sword of the Chosen.
• Taiga/Karplusan Forest/Mogg Hollows...
  I have a 5 color legend deck that I love to play. It has tons of goofy unseen gold cards and lots of dual lands. I sometimes have to think a while to figure out what all I can summon at any given time. "I can tap this and this for that, but I need the second land to get the third color of this spell. So I could then use this if I tapped....no, that's not it..."
• Willow Satyr+Juxtapose...
  Trade away Jerrard of the Closed Fist to your opponent and snag a choice creature for yourself with the help of Juxtapose. Quickly field a Willow Satyr, and take Jerrard back to his rightful home. Maybe use Instill Energy on Willow Satyr to speed up Jerrard's arrival. This combo effectively makes all of your switcheroo spells function like enchantmentless Control Magics.
