"Destroy X target nonblack creatures. Draw X cards."
A brief rundown of the card:
WOW! If only we could muster up the mana for a huge Dregs of Sorrow before our opponent destroys us with tons of creatures...Here are a few ways to help do just that:
Tolarian Serpent will fill up your graveyard with tons of creatures in no time (seeing as it's upkeep is to put the top seven cards of your library into your graveyard). Songs of the Damned will get you one black mana for every creature in your graveyard. Just perfect for a *fairly* quick Dregs of Sorrow.
This combo can net you about as much black mana as the above combo--except it's a little safer. Animate your favorite big black/artifact creature only to sacrifice the creature to the Soldevi Adnate for it's casting cost in black mana. Colossus of Sardia and Baron Sengir are some of the better creatures to animate in this light. Remeber to yourself--who cares if I burn up some cards getting some black mana? You'll be getting a whole bunch of cards when you successfully cast a big Dregs of Sorrow.
Never thought you'd see those two cards listed together--eh? These are of limited use--but Dregs of Sorrow is one of the best uses for tons of extra mana. Sacrifice and Priest of Yawgmoth will both work to trade extra creatures into a Dark Banishing PLUS a card for each mana past 4B you can pay. All cards have a purpose--maybe VERY VERY limited, but they have a purpose. I'd trade a Lead Golem in for 5 Dark Banishings and 5 cards any day. Dregs of Sorrow and Priest of Yawgmoth can help you do this.
As if you'll need 2 Dregs of Sorrow. But just in case you do, there's always Fork. Mean.
