Heat Wave has a lot of potential if you can only make sure you have lot's of creatures in an all red deck, or if you make Heat Wave's "unblockable ability: every turn. Here's a few ways to try just that:
These are some of the quickest ways of amassing many creatures quickly in a red deck. I haven't gotten to Fork a Goblin Scouts yet, but I hear it's fun.
If your opponent is not playing with blue, simply change the color mentioned on Heat Wave to whatever color they are using. It's just like making all of your creatures into Phantom Warriors.
Turn as many of your opponent's creatures you wish blue until the end of the turn in style with Sea King's Blessing.
Speaking of Thoughtlace, you could change the color of a potential blocker to blue at the speed of an interrupt. Ah yes, my COP: Blue deck. It's got Psionic Blast in it--no one laughs at that!
