A brief rundown of the card:
Sure, there's "better" ways to draw cards. There are also quicker ways to fill up your graveyard. Doing both at the same time every turn for no additional mana costs is a handy utility. Once you pay 2U to field this wizard, he'll let you whisk through your library fairly quickly, while keeping your graveyard nice and full of cards you either don't need, or DO need in the graveyard. Why would you want to do that? Here's a few reasons why:
All of these cards need creatures in someone's graveyard to work. Since you don't want to rely on having to use the crap your opponent will be using, put lots of big creatures in your deck. Every time you use the Krovikan Sorcerer, you'll not only increase the odds of you drawing animate spells, but you'll be able to put a fine creature in your graveyard at the same time. If you use an all black animator deck, you'll be able to discard many black cards for the wizard--letting you burn through your deck in no time. Try animating such black nasties as Commander Greven or Baron Sengir.
Add almost all of Weatherlight to this list (no complaints). Quite a few cards in that expansion require you to remove cards in your graveyard from the game as upkeep or activation costs. The two creatures I mentioned are awesome, if you can only find a way to keep feeding them. Krovikan Sorcerer is pretty good at this. There are many more cards like these. Choose whatever one fits your deck well. I have taken a liking to Alms lately.
When you know your graveyard will eventually become your "library", throw caution to the wind and draw cards like a fiend with the sorcerer. Having a huge graveyard when Forbidden Crypt comes into play is essential.
Oh yes, the ever so forgotten Wandering Mage. Just perfect for protecting wizards from harm--a point of damage prevented for every blue payed.

The Card of the day needs your help BADLY!!! Due to a recent mix-up at Geocities, another homesteader got into my site thinking it was their own. Almost every old card of the day back-up file was lost--and I understand Geocities doesn't keep backups. YOU MAY HAVE SOME OF THESE FILES ON YOUR COMPUTER. IF YOU DO, PLEASE SEND THEM TO ME VIA E-MAIL!!! I do this page for free, out of the love of the game and the mail you people send me! It's kinda fun, and I'm very discouraged right now. I apologize for not having many backups myself. Sorry. If you have recently looked at any of my old cards of the day (gone down and picked something off of the list), you very well may may one of my files still on your computer. If you're fairly computer literate, you know where they reside in cache memory, and could go locate them. They are all called "MMDDYYcardtitle.html". If you could send them to me attached to e-mail, I would really love it, and at least thank you on the main page for one month (at least). If you're not computer literate, but have looked at many old cards on this page in the last few months, send me e-mail, and I'll show you how to send me those files. It won't take much of your time, you'll learn something, and it's easy.
