2/2
First strike
"Brass-Talon Chimera counts as a Chimera.
Sacrifice Brass-Talon Chimera: Put a +2/+2 counter on target Chimera and that Chimera gains first strike permanently."
A brief rundown of the card:
If you haven't tried making a Chimera deck yet, I recommend giving it a try. I'll admit, they are a little risky, but when they work, they work real well. If you're not familiar with all the Chimeras, they all cost 4 mana, they all have a creature ability that can be given (along with +2/+2) to another Chimera. With a little lick, you can assemble a 8/8 flying trample not-tapping-to-attack first strike beastie by turn 6 in type 2 play. True, one lousy Disenchant will off the creature just like that, I still recommend giving them a try. Brass-Talon is always my favorite (close to Tin-Wing). Even if you can't use the Brass-Talon Chimera to pump another Chimera, you still got a 2/2 first striker for 4 colorless. This is not bad in type 2 play. Brass-Talon is also a really good card to get in a sealed deck. 2/2 first strike is almost always handy. 2/2 trample isn't too great. Here are some of my favorite ways to get plenty of use out of my Chimeras:
For only one blue mana, Drafna's Restoration lets you put any amount of artifacts from your graveyard and place them back on top of your library. That's a really cheap way of recirculating many artifacts, not just Chimeras.
This is one of favorite means of cheaply reusing creatures in type 2. For just 1W, you'll get to put a freshly sacrificed Chimera back into play. Best part about Angelic Renewal, you don't have to save mana for it like Death Ward. Just pay the casting cost whenever it's convient for you, and let it sit there until you need it.
This may seem impossible to pull off, but for an infinite combo it's really not too bad. If 4 of the mana saver artifacts are in play, your Chimeras will be free to cast. If one of them goes to the graveyard while Enduring Renewal is in play, it'll go back to your hand. Funny how that works.
This is possibly the best way to cheaply and consistantly bring artifacts in the graveyard back to your hand. Only problem is finding the money to buy one$$$$$.

I would like to thank the following people for helping me out by sending me some of my lost files. These people all helped motivate me into continuing the Card of the Day. The site is under some construction, some of the archived cards don't work yet. Sorry. Read story below Card of Day review for more info (and maybe you can help too.)

The Card of the day needs your help BADLY!!! Due to a recent mix-up at Geocities, another homesteader got into my site thinking it was their own. Almost every old card of the day back-up file was lost--and I understand Geocities doesn't keep backups. YOU MAY HAVE SOME OF THESE FILES ON YOUR COMPUTER. IF YOU DO, PLEASE SEND THEM TO ME VIA E-MAIL!!! I do this page for free, out of the love of the game and the mail you people send me! It's kinda fun, and I'm very discouraged right now. I apologize for not having many backups myself. Sorry. If you have recently looked at any of my old cards of the day (gone down and picked something off of the list), you very well may may one of my files still on your computer. If you're fairly computer literate, you know where they reside in cache memory, and could go locate them. They are all called "MMDDYYcardtitle.html". If you could send them to me attached to e-mail, I would really love it, and at least thank you on the main page for one month (at least). If you're not computer literate, but have looked at many old cards on this page in the last few months, send me e-mail, and I'll show you how to send me those files. It won't take much of your time, you'll learn something, and it's easy.
HELP ME PLEASE IF YOU CAN PLEASE. Due to this problem, a few of the archive cards won't work. Sorry.E-mail me.
