Protection from red
"As long as any opponent controls any white cards, Beasts of Bogardan gets +1/+1."
A brief rundown of the card:
The mighty Beasts of Bogardan are aptly priced in my opinion. A 3/3 creature with a restrictive pump up and protection from red for 5 mana just isn't bad at all. This is also an unusual card in that it has protection from it's own color--something you rarely see. The Beasts of Bogardan are good in any red deck's sideboard being good against white, and great against red. There just happen to be many cards that work quite well with the flaming doggies. Here are some of them:
I guess hanging out in Bogardan has accidently made these pooches immune to the earth shaking. Both of these cards deal damage to every creature without flying except for a few creatures like Beasts of Bogardan (Earthquake and Tremor are both red). Clear away all opponent's creatures with these cards, then attack with your unscathed dogs.
Inferno is a little more drastic than the above spells, but just as effective. I strongly advise adding some COP: Reds or anything to help soak up that 6 damage to you, but I've cast Inferno many a time unprotected in a pinch.
Do not underestimate the power of the lace cards...especially while dealing with protection from xxx creatures. Chaoslace can make any creature unable to block the beasts, or it will make any creature deal no damage to the beasts when blocked by them. Nasty for just one red.
The Cinder Giant is offensive to hang out with for every creature except those with protection from red. The giant deals 2 damage to each of your creatures during your upkeep. Why bother you may ask? He's 5/3 for 4 mana. The beasts kinda like Cinder Giant, and have been known to fetch newspapers for him on occasion.
Purelace is one of the best ways to ensure your opponents will have a white card, and ensure your beasts will be 4/4.
