Remember to hit reload every day or else the new card may not load!

I plan on sorting the old Card of the Day files by alpha within color soon. To specify what pages are new (sometimes I do more than one within 24 hours), I plan to put some kind of marker besides files updated within one week or so. This date thing has some good points, but I'm starting to think there are more bad points. Chris.

In this web page, I hope to present to you strategies, combos, and obscure uses for a new Magic: The Gathering card every single day.

The Card of the Day is...

Wormwood Treefolk

The Dark Rare
3GG Summon Treefolk

4/4
"GG: Wormwood Treefolk gains forestwalk until end of turn and does 2 damage to you.
BB: Wormwood Treefolk gains swampwalk until end of turn and does 2 damage to you."

Most landwalkers aren't as big as Wormwood Treefolk, nor can many creatures have more than one landwalk type bestowed upon them without use of extra cards. A 4/4 creature that is unblockable against at least around 40% of the decks out there is not a bad deal for 3GG if it weren't for the fact that Wormwood Treefolk deals 2 damage to you each time you use this ability. Over all, I still feel this isn't too bad of a hinderance. Almost always, I'm glad to pay 2 mana and take 2 damage to deal 4 to my opponent. Lest we not forget, even if you can't use the landwalk abilities for whatever reason, a 4/4 green creature for 3GG is only slightly more expensive than "normal" (think, Durkwood Boars are 4G). There are a few ways to soak up the damage Wormwood Treefolk may deal to you, as are there many ways to make plenty of forests and swamps for your opponent. Here are a few cards I've used frequently with Wormwood Treefolk:
