What is up with white getting even more cheap ways of offing creatures? Smite sure isn't Swords to Plowshares, yet it is almost as good in a creature deck being played against a creature-based deck (maybe better). Remember that a creature is considered blocked quite a while before combat damage is assigned. You can safely have your Spore Flower block a Crash of Rhinos, Smite the rhinos (bad rhinos, bad bad bad!), and your Spore Flower and you won't take any damage. Smite is not a card to be forgotten about. Smite's only shortcoming is it isn't any good unless you can block one of your opponent's creatures. Here are some ideas to help that along:
