In this web page, I hope to present to you strategies, combos, and obscure uses for a new Magic: The Gathering card every single day.

The Card of the Day is...

Foxfire

Ice Age, 5th Edition Common
2G Instant

"Untap target attacking creature. That creature neither deals nor receives combat damage this turn. Draw a card at the beginning of the next turn."

Foxfire may not have a directly potent effect, yet it is a decent card. This instant can be used for a plethora of things---none really too deadly, yet all quite handy. Foxfire can either be used to stop an opponent's creature from harming you, to kill an opponent's attacker while keeping alive the would-be-dead blocker, to sneakily kill an opponent's blocker, or as an expensive way to untap a creature. Seeing as you'll get to draw a card to replace Foxfire no matter how you use it, Foxfire just isn't too bad. All of the uses I listed aren't individually worth paying 2G for--even if you get an extra card. It's the versatility that is valuable. I think of Foxfire as an expensive Visions/Mirage charm-cantrip. Some of the uses for Foxfire often present themselves during a match. You may not be able to expect the situation to pop up, yet all of a sudden that Foxfire that was sitting in your hand for a turn or two is very usefull out of nowhere. Here are a few combos to try also:
