Barrow Ghoul

4/4 1B During your upkeep, remove the top creature card in your graveyard from the game or bury Barrow Ghoul.

A brief rundown of the card:

Upkeep notwithstanding, this is one of the most mana efficient creatures period. What else could you get for 2 mana? Not even the treasured Savannah Lions come close to the awesome power of our friend Barrow Ghoul. Let's look at some possibilities for the BIG zombie:

• Erati's Familiar
  This summon illusion is one of the most popular ways to churn cards into your graveyard. It also just happens to be the most power/toughness to casting cost efficient cards for blue around.
• Animator decks
  Have lots of creatures in your creatures in your graveyard and not many Animate Deads? Throw out the Barrow Ghoul to chomp on a few tasty dead treats and whack around your opponent with a 4/4 beastie! (caution--it is top card, you don't get to choose which card he dines upon)
• Zombie Master/Evil Presence or Blanket of Night
  An unblockable 4/4 zombie is tough to deal with for more than a couple of turns. Taking into account the cheap casting cost of all cards included, you can easily pull this off in turn 4-5.
• Sacrificial Lamb
  Only able to keep Barrow Ghoul out for a turn or two? Just add some cards to your Barrow Ghoul deck like Skull Catapult or Lord of the Pit.
• Zombie insto-wall
  Need a 4/4 blocker and don't want to remove cards in your graveyard? Don't pay it! Use with Flash for added supprises!2
