The Card of the Day is....

Blanket of Night

Each mana-producing land is a swamp in addition to it's normal land type.

A brief rundown of the card:

Need a few quick swamps? Nobody can ever have enough...especially your opponent. It's like an Evil presence (almost) for every land. What can we do with Blanket of Night?

• Hecatomb
  This is an incredibly costly and incredibly powerfull spell. After you pay 1BB and sacrifice 4 (count em'--4) creatures, all of your swamps gain the ability to tap to deal a point of damage just like Tim or Fire Whip. This stunt was almost always limited to an all black deck (with all basic lands at that). Try this combo in almost any color deck with the help of Blanket of Night. This combo was sent to us by Peter Englert.
• Karma
  A point of damage during each of their upkeeps for every land they own. Just don't forget to add COP White to your deck!
• Angry Mob
  Watch your mob grow to riot size in no time. Every time your opponent plays a land, more disgruntled citizens join the cause.
• Swampwalkers
  Make Solkanar the Swamp King unblockable and watch your enemy die!
• Kormus Bell+Parapet+Simoon
  Who needs Armageddon when you can destroy all your opponents lands without scathing your own?
• Nightmare
  Nightmare is only worth playing with an all black deck. Blanket of night allows us to squeeze the flying beastie into almost any deck.
