The Card of the Day is....

Blood Moon

All non-basic lands become Mountains.

A brief rundown of the card:

How many times have you faced someone that doesn't even have one basic land in their deck? Quite a bit in type one play. How many of the most feared cards are lands? Strip Mine, Kjeldaron Outpost, Maze of Ith, Diamond Valley, Library of Alexandria show up in plenty of decks. All of these cards can be instantly changed into lovely mountains with the help of Blood Moon. Let's look at a few more sinister ways to utilize Blood Moon--not that just eliminating all non-basic lands isn't good enough.

• Mounatin Yeti, Mountain Goat, Goblins of the Flarg
  Yes, there are a few mountainwalkers out there. These mentioned cards just happen to be red just like Blood Moon. These cards are all good for some quick unhindered damage, and great to block a big beastie late in the game. *Do not* underestimate Mountain Yeti. It's 3/3 and has protection from white! What else would you get for 2RR? Nothing against Stone Giant and Keldon Warlord, but the Yeti should not be forgotten.
• Burrowing
  This card has a bad reputation. Would you use an enchantment that cost B to give enchanted creature swampwalk? How about Fishliver Oil? That costs 1U! Then why won't you use Burrowing? Paying just R to give something mountainwalk isn't bad. Think of all the cheap red powerful creatures you could give this to, like Hulking Cyclops or Balduvian Horde. Dealing 5 points of unblockable damage each turn is a good thing.
• Goblin King
  The Goblin King has the unique ability to guide Goblins through the mountains every turn. Combine with Goblin Mutant for 6 points of unblockable damage!
