The Card of the Day is....
Zombie Master
1BB Summon Lord
2/3 All zombies gain swampwalk and "B: Regenerate."
A brief rundown of the card:
Besides the fact this creature isn't too bad just on it's own, there are many combos we can use to get the most out of zombies. Until Ice Age, there were only 2 zombies, and they weren't too good. It seems Wizards of the Coast are going to bless us with a new zombies (or 2) in every new set! Let's take a look at a few of the many cards that will help us get the most out of Zombie Master:
- Blanket of Night/Evil Presence
When you have swampwalkers, making your opponent have swamps is a good thing. Use either of these cards to ensure you'll have an army of swampwalking undead.
- Phantasmal Terrain/Mystic Compass/Illusionary Terrain
These are some of the best non-black means of making your opponent have swamps.
- Fear/Flight/Jump
Don't just let your Zombie Master sit around and deligate all the work to his zombies. Give your Zombie Master an evasive ability and attack for 2 damage every turn.
- Zombie Mob
These zombies are potentially the largest. Casting a 10/8 swampwalking Zombie Mob late in the game for 2BB can't be beat!
- Bone Dancer
If this fearsome zombie can attack and not be blocked, you get to animate one of your opponents dead creatures for free. Help guarantee your Bone Dancer will be unblockable every turn with Zombie Master. Try using a Millstone to help fill your opponents graveyard.
