The Card of the Day is...

Aboroth

9/9 "Cumulative upkeep--Put a -1/-1 counter on Aboroth."

A brief rundown of the card:

A 9/9 creature for the price of a Craw Wurm is pretty darn cool--if you can manage to get some attacks in before Aboroth dwindles into nothing (or reset the upkeep). Here's some ways to get the most out of Aboroth:

• Concordant Crossroads/Instill Energy/Fervor
  Usually Aboroth is 8/8 before you get to attack with him. Make your giant pile of dirt able to attack as soon as it comes into play. An extra attack while Aboroth is still huge can make all the difference.
• Overrun/Stampede...
  Somehow, a 0/1 Prism token will stop an Aboroth cold. Now, if you give your Aboroth trample, you won't have to worry about a few pesky token creatures stopping your mighty Aboroth from damaging your opponent. If you Overrun on the second turn Aboroth has been around, he'll be 11/11 trample and ready to attack!
• Obelisk of Undoing/Time Elemental...
  Is your Aboroth getting small? Return it to your hand and reset it's upkeep by casting it again. The two cards mentioned here are some of the better ways of sending a permanent back to your hand--there are many more that may fit your deck better.
