The Card of the Day is...
Agent of Stromgald
Alliances Common
R Summon Knight
1/1
"R: Add B to your mana pool. Play this ability as a mana source."
A brief rundown of the card:
Agent of Stromgald is looked over way too much. Not only is he an extremely cheap replacement for/suppliment to Badlands, he also is the cheapest summon Knight in the game. Here are a few of the cards Agent of Stromgald seems to work very well with:
- Sedge Troll
Agent of Stromgald can help free up some of your resources when a Sedge Troll is around. Sedge Troll is out of print for very good reason. A potential 3/3 regenerater for the price of a 2/2 Grey Ogre can't be overlooked. Agent of Stromgald is a good means of ensuring Sedge Troll will be around for a while.
- Soul Burn
Drain life is clearly a better card than Soul burn, but it's soooo good I'd would play with 8 Drain Life's sometimes. Soul Burn is just a little more pricey than Drain Life, but has just the same potential as Drain Life in a red/black burn em' up quick deck if you include Agent of Stromgald in your plans.
- Zhalfirin Commander
Remember what I was saying about Agent of Stromgald being the cheapest knight in the game? Here's why I brought that up. Pump up your Agent of Stromgald and go nuts on your opponent. You can convert red to black mana while the agent's tapped too. Neato.
