The Card of the Day is...
Acidic Dagger
Mirage Rare
4 Artifact
"4, T: Destroy any non-Wall creature receiving combat damage from target creature this turn. If targeted creature leaves play this turn, bury Acidic Dagger. Use this ability only before defense is chosen."
A brief rundown of the card:
Not a bad creature disposal mechanism is the dangerous Acidic Dagger. It almost is like a mobile Venom in a way. This card is very effective as a deterrant--keeping your opponent from attacking/blocking for fear of loosing a creature. Here are a few means of making sure the Acidic Dagger strikes true:
- Wall of Brambles/Wall of Bone...
Any regenerating wall with a power greater than 0 works fairly well with Acidic Dagger. It's pretty hard to get rid of a regenerating wall in most duels (at least not without spending great resources).
- Lure
Lure has always been one of the easiest means of making sure your creatures are blocked when you need it.
- Melee
This is my personal favorite way of mixing up creature blocking to my twisted advantage. You can rearrange your opponent's blocking however you want when you attack and use Melee. Melee wins games.
- Boiling Blood/Imp's Taunt/Maddening Imp/Nettling Imp/Norritt/Arcum's Whistle...
There are so many ways to force undesirable blocking situtations, I'm not going to be able to list them all here tonight. Oracle en-Vec and a stupid opponent is my favorite.
