Thelonite Monk

A brief rundown of the card:
Even though I feel you almost need to build a deck around Thelonite Monk to make it work really well, I feel it's worth giving it a try. This card is so versatile, it's incredible. Thelonite Monk can be used as to screw up an opponent's land, make your creatures more powerfull, or to ensure your creatures deal damage. Here are a few examples of great cards to use with Thelonite Monk:
- Gaea's Liege
Gaea's Liege can get really big really fast with the help of Thelonite Monk. Even though Gaea's Liege himseld is an excellent means of forcing an opponent to have forests, you can expedite his growth twofold with Thelonite Monk--something I've found quite handy.
- Living Lands+Rod of Ruin/Prodigal Sorcerer...
While Living Lands is in play, all forests will become 1/1 creatures also. It's not too hard to find a way to kill 1/1 creatures. Cheap land destruction!
- Heartwood Treefolk/Wormwood Treefolk
These are the biggest creatures with forestwalk built in. Just in case you don't have/care for these cards, you could use something to give any creature forestwalk such as:
- Scarwood Hag/Unseen Walker/Hidden Path
Oh my, the creatures you can give forest walk to! I'll just leave this subject with the thought of an unblockable Craw Wurm...
- Wandering Mage
Let us not forget that Thelonite Monk is a Cleric, and let's also not forget that Wandering Mage can be as good as a reusable Gaurdian Angel with blue mana any time you want!
