The Card of the Day is...
Arcum's Sleigh
Ice Age Uncommon {In celebration of Christmas}
1 Artifact
"2, T: Attacking this turn does not cause target creature to tap. Ignore this effect if the defending player controls no snow-covered lands."
A brief rundown of the card:
It's no Serra's Blessing, but Arcum's Sleigh will fit in almost any deck as long as you use Arcum's other dandy invention--the Weathervane. Any artifact that can grant any kind of creature ability is pretty handy in the right circumstances. Arcum's Sleigh is pretty cheap to use too. Here are some nifty uses for Arcum's Sleigh (beside the absolute must--Arcum's Weathervane):
- Drudge Skeletons/Gorilla Chieftan...
Any fairly inexpensive creature with a power of one or more that can regenerate would fit in well with Arcum's Sleigh. Being able to recklessly attack without fret is always a good thing!
- Spirit Link
The threat of gaining life on offense and defense every turn from a fairly tough Spirit Linked creature is pretty nasty. If it's on a Durkwood Boars for example (and you've used the Sleigh on him), you could get 8 points a turn without too much hassle.
- Juggernaut/Soldevi Golem/Apes of Rath...
These creatures are cool enough as it is. They'd be really cool is they could stick around to block a little more though. If they hop on Arcum's Sleigh and take a spin, they'll be all ready to block for you too.
