From the notes of Caarad Surestrider, submitted to Borrum Binbalik for his work "On the Bearers of Akasha".
The elf was quite insistant that we meet at her home a short distance from the outskirts of Bartertown and Throal. When I arrived, she was rather upset to discover that I could not enter her forest abode without doing serious structural damage in the process. Although dismayed that she could not show off her fine display of books and artifacts, we both agreed that the day was pleasant enough for an outdoor interview. When I produced a voice spiral, Briana grew excited and insisted on being allowed to use the device. What follows is the result of my allowance. It reminds me of how Paramar of Landis once described orks, "Give them an inch and they take a mile". How true this is of Briana, but far be it for me to spoil your reading. Her auto-interview and well-kept journals paint an intriguing image of this curious, moody woodswoman.
I am Briana, Elven Woodswoman and aspiring historian among many things. After my parents were slaughtered by a horror that the magical scholars insisted were gone from the world, I made my way to this glade outside of Bartertown. I lived mostly alone for about 60 years, when I bumped into a T'Skrang named Sanjuro in a curiousity shop in Bartertown. The rest, as they say... Well, by now, my adventures are well documented.
I'm sure I look plenty strange with this fernweave armor growing out of the hardened leather that I made myself. Few care for looks in combat, however. Although, those who could look dashing while swinging a sword or loosing an arrow always earned a bit of respect from me.
