Meris Gramthanidicus
My Name is Meris Gramthanidicus, and I'm certain you've heard of me. I was a champion hach'var player back in 1488 TH, and if you need more information just check the record books.
I was the rising star of House Ueraven, destined to become a trainer for future players and a cushy, high-paying job. In 1491, however, I received a vicious blow to the right knee that even the Questors of Garlen could not heal. I am certain that <NAME DELETED>, the player who crippled me, was Horror-marked, although this was never proven. In any case, I left the game to take a position as a scholar of Throal. I was recognized for my intelligence and cleverness beyond any athletic prowess, and I must say I have proved myself worthy of my position. I daresay I could be a Master Scholar someday.
My dear friend Gromth Omth Ueraven, one of Throal's most skilled elementalists, has provided me with a Named version of his Throne of Air spell, a variant which ensures that my bad leg does not hamper my mobility. (Editor's note: Gromoth Omth Ueraven now occupies a position as Scholar of the Library under Meris' jurisdiction) I also must extend my thanks to Huzal Ueraven, the fine doctor who ensured that my injury did not kill me. (Editor's note: Huzal Ueraven now occupies a position as Scholar of the Library under Meris' jurisdiction). I must not also forget to mention my former publicist Ingelo Ueraven, who ensured that I was always presented in to the public at my best. (Editor's note: Ingelo Ueraven now occupies a position as Scholar of the Library under Meris' jurisdiction).
Now, as a specialist in the field of Legendary Treasures, I have been assigned to catalog the magickal treasures unearthed by the Bearers of Akasha. Specifically, the Items of Elost are the focus of my investigations, although Vitriol and Voracious and the Crystal Visor of the Corinthian have fascinating histories as well. Although I am working under the esteemed Stavil Hynd, my research has taken a more scrutinizing, thorough bent. Stavil's research is of supremely adequate quality, of course, but I must refer readers to my closely-researched information in order to receive a complete picture of these treasures.
