Sonorious

"Sonorious? You want to hear about Lord Esturgent, do ye? Well, I'm sad to say that there's not much to tell. Sonorious was a man who's principles and love were stronger than most men you'll ever meet. One or the other finally did him in in the end, some say it was both. It might have been his principles that made him give up his lofty position in the Theran Military to try to stop the war between Thera and Throal. He failed, and his failure cost many lives, something I think he seeked to avenge for much of his remaining life.

I remember he had a lady-friend, an elfmaiden, who was Barsaivian. She probably had something to do with his early death."

"...[Sonorius] risked a lot today. He has been hiding in Bartertown trying to come up with a way to prevent the upcoming war between Throal and Thera. He insists that the Therans are innocent in the death of the King, and he seems dismayed at his inablity to convince others of this. He knows that every hour he spends away from Triumph is a month longer on his sentence if he is discovered. I think his biggest fear, though, is not saving the lives of all those soldiers. He is truly a great man..."
