TWMU-01 DUO-DRONESThe first member of the "team" consists of a mini-blimp (the TWMU-01A) with exceptionnal non-detection quality. It's high signature, coupled with its electronic deception and the optional Ruthenium Polymers coating makes it almost impossible to detect. Its electric motor and extremely low power consumption, coupled with its SunCell system makes it excellent for long term surveillance. Its role in the team is as the spotter, who lock the target and send the data to the TWMU-01B for indirect fire with a mortar. The second member is a large wheeled crawler. This crawler is entended to stay behind walls and other obstacles, using the data sent by the TWMU-01A drone as reference to shoot its mortar. It is not intended to be on the front line or to be shot at, rather it is better to use it under cover so it can shoot without being shot. The combination of those two drones can make a formidable opponent, since the mini-blimp is almost litterally invisible, especially in its ruthenium coated variant and is the only one which could actually be shot at. The crawler simply stays under cover, firing its mortar at its unsuspecting victims. I was on a run, everything went well, we were getting
back to the car when suddenly mortar began to fly around. The only reason
I'm here is because I was shot last and I managed to shoot the flying drone...
Still, I got two cyber legs because of it. Good thing it wasn't Ruthenium
Polymer coated, because I might be missing a lot more pieces than just
my legs!
(>) If even drones start to cooperate we're getting in very deep drek.
Screwing up means more than ever that they'll screw you up.
(>) This is a great investment for corporation: minimum loss of drones
since both are very hard to attack and they don't cost so much, in comparison
with other corp security technology!
(>) Not every corp wants the collateral damage done by mortar, though...
