Without a doubt the biggest game of the JAMMA show was Sega's long awaited sequel to their smash-hit Model 3 board game, Virtual On. Since the debut of the Model 3 board gaming worldhas been rife with rumours about Sega's biggest game after Virtua Fighter. Virtual On 2 will be a very powerful game it is powered by two 1,000,000 polygons /sec Model 3 boards. Virtual On 2 OT has the most spectacular graphics ever seen .

The Story

"Moon Gate's awakening was an unnatural happening, a gigantic farce. Using the DNA company, O.M.G. (Operation Moon Gate) became a weapon of vast destruction but from the disentangled DNA, RNA (a force who were confronting them) gained a sudden increase in power. Both of them claimed right of ownership to the nine industrial plants from the strongpoint of their Virtuaroid development. However, no one saw the signs of their convergence as they fought around the plants. In the year V.C.a4, the reality was that they were finally approaching the climax of their war. Suddenly however, the nineth plant which held the main system of the TANGRAM (Space Time Causation Control Mechanism) vanished from the normal space-time continuum! Considering that it had the ability to operate the Moon Gate, the loss of this plant was the advent of catastrophic danger to Earth. You must search for Tangram! The person who is able to discover and possess the missing nineth plant will certainly be able to seize the initiative in the war's stalemate situation. Both factions, DNA and RNA posses Virtuaroid cyber troopers. However, every area of their comprehensive reorganisation has evolved on a scale that has never been seen before! Now the curtain has been ripped down and the act begins for a new battle!"

Besides the graphics , there are some major changes . The 2 original virtual On sticks are changed. Here are the changes :
The Dash button:

The Dash Button has become the Turbo Button and is activated by pressing just one button a second time.
The Guard:
The Guard is no longer activated with the joysticks, instead you press both Turbo Buttons and both Shot. Triggers at the same time.
Gameplay:
You can throw your opponent by getting in close and pressing Right Turbo Button and both shot Triggers at the same time. By pressing both Turbo Buttons, and operating the levers when close to your opponent, you can perform a "QUICK STEP". This allows players to quickly move to the side where they can dodge attacks.
By simultaneously pressing one of the Turbo Buttons and the Shot Trigger you can increasethe strenght of your attack by performing a Turbo Shot.

Virtual On 2 features
The fineshed version of virtual On OT will have 12 virtuaroids, four more than the original game, and each one will have even more unique characterustucs ti enhance gameplay.
All the new Virtuaroids desugns have been done by Hajime Katoki, a very famous and respected designer in Japan. There are coming 6 new levels and they are working on a underwater level as well!.

Virtual On 2 is the most awaited arcade game in the games-world. It is my most wanted arcade game with Daytona Usa 2.
Virtual On 2 will be out in 1998.
