Here's a number of screenshots I took during a looong session, back when I had too much time on my hands. I was doing some Lazarus/Boss runs with my young level 32 Artillery Mage O'NQ,
and while I was at it, I decided to kill Diablo every time just to see the kill counter go up. I have never seen his stats except in my copy of Jarulf's Guide of course. But if you want to be able to see his resistances/immunities, you have to kill him 15 times in one session, and 30 times for his hit points. I added some other more or less interesting screenies from that session and some that were sent to me.

Killing Diablo more than 30 times in one session
|
Well... 15 kills - immune to magic, resistant
to fire and lightning. Quod erad demonstrandum =)
|
That's 30 kills now, and there you have it - 1666 hit points. This is Normal difficulty of course, so let's check Nightmare and Hell as well:
|
|
|
4999 hitpoints in Nightmare difficulty. His Apoc looks worse than it is, although jumping into his box in NM can hurt, but let's move on to hell... |
That was too macho. Trying to clear his
room in Hell difficulty and surviving to check his stats didn't
work... I saw the red screen two seconds after taking this
screenshot.
|
|
|
So I had to lure him away from his minions
to take a good look. 6667 hitpoints indeed - Jarulf's Guide
is right. Um... the display is right that is, as opposed to
pre -1.07 versions of the game. "Now you die !"

I killed more than 1000 Blood Knights when
doing my 30+ Diablo kills session, and thought that was a
lot. Then Tanja[BWO] sent me a screenshot with 2000 kills, and I had it right here for some months. Then, Lord Gore sent in 3000... More than that, anyone?
And yes, I know he's using all blue pots as a warrior and some Chain Mail... must be a LAW with strong turtle mage tendencies, right? ;-)
|
This shot was sent to me by DSF veteran
Skandranon. He writes: "I died about two or so seconds after I took this shot, so I estimate the Bloodstars there represent
about 3600 points of damage." Thanks! =)

WOOHOO! Thanks, Sir Gorash. Finally...
after almost two years. Sure, for me as an Artillery Mage,
a dime-a-dozen-Dragon/Sorcery ring with more than +16 to magic
would have been even better, not to mention a DragWiz, but who cares... it's a DragZod! Maybe the 'Diablo gods' want me to become a Tank Mage?
|
Don't you just hate it too when this happens? But to be honest, I only pick up Gothic Plates for this
reason, to be able to say: "Aargh, this shouda been a Full
Plate..."
[Explanation, since I've recieved some emails: This armor, as a Full Plate Mail, would be a Warrior's dream, as he's usually looking for high AC and some dexterity bonus. However, this Gothic Plate's low base AC (53) renders this piece of equipment almost useless in Hell/Hell.]

Not that this is a good bow or anything.
But it was only the second time I've ever been offered a Merciless
Bow of the Heavens from Wirt. However, he can't sell one of
the most popular dupes/hacks in the game, the MBoH as a Long
War Bow (and not as a Hunter's Bow, as in this pic) as it
would exceed his price limit of 135,000 gold.

I leveled up twice while doing the 30-kills
run, and I found lots of good items. Here are the stats and
the equipment I had then:
Dragon's Ring of the Zodiac (yea !)
Garnet Ring of the Zodiac (dito)
Dragon's Amulet of the Titans
Obsidian Mail of Sorcery
Ivory Shield of the Ages (hm..)
Cobalt helm of the Stars (hmm..)
Wizardspike (poor Mage's Dreamflange)
...so all I need is a RC, DF, Stormshield and a nice Awesome
Full Plate - the perfect tin can, err, Tank Mage !
