Friday I took a day off to go travel around Ohio and play some disc golf courses I've never played before with Robert and Mike (two guys I work with).  We got up early Friday morning 9:30 AM we met at Bob Evans on Woodman Dr., and then took off on Rt 35 West to Judge Arthur O. Fisher's course in West Dayton.  It was a beautiful course with hills, meadows, and ponds all over.  It was early around 10:30 and chilly outside, the ground was still soaked from the night before but we had a good time.  After we finished the course we headed south to Mt Airy Forest Park in Cincinnati.  Here is a small description of Mt Airy Forest because I couldn't do it justice.

"As Cincinnati's largest park (containing about 40 percent of the Park Board's total acreage), Mt. Airy Forest offers 23 picnic areas with picnic tables, charcoal grills, swing sets and softball fields. Three forest lodges and two picnic areas are available on a fee basis by reservation, as well as two council areas for organized youth group overnight camping. For those interested in walking through deep ravines along streams and fossil beds million of years old, Mt. Airy Forest offers fourteen miles of hiking trails and for horseback riders, sixteen miles of bridle trails. And in the winter there is cross-country skiing. The hiking trail system designated by the U.S. Department of the Interior as a National Recreational Trail. It is also a nationally designated trail by the Boy Scouts of America and referred to by them as "The Trail of the Explorers."

The course took a long time to walk.  It was still early afternoon and the Trees were awesome with amber, gold, red, orange, green hues that filled the forest canopy.  By hole 4 we had seen 8 deer and I think we just stopped keeping track after that.

After 36 holes of Disc Golf we went to Newport KY and went to the Hofbrauhaus for some pints of beer, and some good German food, then over to the Beer Cellar on the Ohio River bank to play some pool and finished off the night with some Blueberry beer Mike had to try.

Sunday I passed my motorcycle test so I'm officially able to get a bike anytime I want and ride it ...."Legally".

I'd say it was a pretty good weekend.
