| Birthday gift for Plufim. Schner's finally getting the attention he deserves. My favourite pic so far. I can find lots of things that are wrong with this pic, some of them are really apparent in the hi-res version I printed, but I'm just terribly, terribly happy with the global impression. The base idea was funny, the lineart's quite good, especially the faces and Schner's body (not bad for a first try at a muscular guy, eh?), but also their postures, their attitudes. It's just exactly the way I wanted them to look. And it's very colorful. And the whole thing got finished in the 72 hours following my starting it. One evening for the sketch, one for the lineart, one for the colors. Which proves I can actually work at a decent pace when I really want to. |
