 He is the main character in Evangelion. His father left him to pursue a job with the company NERV that creates the Eva's. Shinji grew up with no father or mother and has become very shy and doesnt express himself in any way just listens to what he is told. Shinji is the "Third Child" which is a phrase used to identify gifted children chosen to pilot the Eva's, he pilots Eva 01.
 She is in charge of the Eva pilots and decides what to do during the battles, and decides what should happen when neither Gendou isnt there. She also forms a type of motherly bond to the Eva pilots and takes responsiblty for the schooling and other such duties. She holds a mysterious past which is brought up throught out the series.
 She is know as the "First Child"the pilot of Eva Unit 00. She is very independant and is surrounded in mystery. Yet there is some strange connection with her and the mysterious Eva's and NERV.
 She is the "Second Child" and pilots Eva Unit 02. She comes from Germany and doesnt show up in the Evangelion series till the 6th episode. She is very territorial and obnoxious, she beleives herself to be better and more mature than everyone else her age.
 She is the systems operator and helps with most of the technical information by using a super computer called "MAGI". She seems devoted to her job and has a friendship with Misato which dates back many years. Yet she seems to be holding infromation from her.
 He is the Commander of the company NERV which controls the Eva's. He is Shinji's father and doesnt act like it. He seems to not have any cares in the world except for his job which controls his life. He shows absolutly no emotion and is hated by almost all that work for him. He is the center of most of the mystery in the series.
 Kaji is another character from Misato's past. He is very forward and says and does whatever he wants to, without consideration of what other people think about him, yet he can seem to get any girl he wants. What he does for NERV is unknown. Kaji does not show up till episode 5.
