We have gathered together a collection of Stockport County programmes, both from the past and nearer the present. You can see how the programmes have developed over the years, and why they have recently been awarded several awards.

We shall keep updating and adding different seasons programmes as we get them. If you have a programme for a season either featured or not, please scan or take a digital photo of it and send it to CountyFan52@hotmail.com.

This programme, titled Go Go Go County, ran from around the 1966 to 1971 seasons. The cost varied from sixpence to 11d. It contained supporters letters, player profiles, and a look at the opposition.

Produced for a friendly match, this programe cost 10p and contained a section on the visitors, a player profile on George Best who was guesting for County at the time and very little else.

The first edition of County's new style programme, costing 15p. It contained a section on the visitors, facts and figures for the season, a quiz and a letters page. It was a vast improvement on previous seasons.

Season 1978/79 saw a different style of programme. Still costing 15p, it contained all the usual features - a look at the opposition, managers view, and facts and figures for the season.

This is a picture of the programme available at the game when County played Man Utd at Old Trafford in the League Cup in 1979.

Season 1980/81 saw these two styles of programmes, County's first containing colour photographs, and costing 30p. Many more articles were included than in previous seasons, all the usual items, as well as discussions on other footballing teams and issues from around the country.

Costing 30p in 1981/82, this programme continued to produce the high standard of the previous seasons programmes. It contained all the usual reports, as well as discussion on all the issues of the 4th division and football in general. These programmes seemed to contain more about other clubs and general football issues, than concentrating solely on County.

This seasons programme seemed to take a bit of a step backwards. Photos were once again black and white, however there was more information and articles about County, including memories of previous encounters between the clubs, as well as the usual articles. It cost 50p in 1985/86.

This programme was produced for the Tommy Sword testimonial. Surprisingly it contained several articles on...yes, you guessed it...Tommy Sword! Costing £1, it was 'a celebration of his loyalty and service at Edgeley Park' - the programme's words, not ours!

Season 1988/89 saw these styles of programme produced, costing 60p. Don't be fooled by the colour photo on the outside, all the photo's inside the programme were black and white. It contained among other articles, pictures and details from previous games, player profiles, a page about a County 'Superfan' and a quiz.

Unfortuantly, we have not been able to scan in any more programmes. We will update this page as soon as we do.
