We had 32 teams scrambling for top honors tonight ... but it turns out that Deb03 is hard to beat - again. Deb and partner for this week, RHardin (and son, Haus, who finished the last couple games for Dad who had to go to work) beat out Doc5 and Bo5 tonight in a fun-filled evening. During my "grilling" errrr "interviewing" of the winning team (of course using the special straps that Kaliki brought me and the rubber hose that Greg donated), we all got acquainted.

When asked how long they hard been playing together as partners, they replied that it was their first date. Hopefully for the second date (since neither have regular partners), he'll bring her flowers/candy - you know, the usual stuff. LOL.

When asked how they came up with their nicknames, Deb03 tells us that it's just her name and the 03 is the date of her birthday (which is in October). Haus answered all the questions and tells us that his Dad's name is Robert but he's not sure why his Dad picked 40. Maybe it was a special time in his Dad's life - who knows.

Deb (31) is orginally from Saginaw, MI and now lives in Grand Rapids, MI. Haus is from Louisville, KY but now resides in Indiana. Deb tells us she has one husband (did she want more than one, I was wondering?) and a daughter named Tracie who's 10 and a cat named Callie. Haus (37) is divorced, has a daughter who's 14 and a son who's 12.

Haus is a Project Manager for a construction firm, while his Dad (RHardin) works for Ford. Greg went bug-eyed and begged Haus to build him a home with a deck ... I think Haus declined. Deb works at a retirement center and at DK Securities.

In their spare time, Haus like to play Pinochle and sports. Deb likes going on the vacation. She and hubby have a 39-foot boat on Lake Michigan. Deb loves to read historical romance novels, while Haus loves the movie, "Brave Heart" with Mel Gibson. He also likes anything to do with history.

Deb tells us she's been playing euchre for over 20 years now, while Haus has been playing for about 10 years. Deb told us, "I have a dream" (sound familiar?) "and that dream is to win two weeks in a row." Well Deb ... consider your dream fulfilled!!!

When asked how they happened to win the tourney tonight, they each agreed they had good cards and that they chose a suit and hoped they didn't get euchred! LOL Deb told us her strategy to great euchre playing is to play naked ... well ... if only she'd told us all that sooner, huh?!! Haus told us that anyone that ever plays with him knows how good he is. That his card playing does the bragging for him. I like a humble man. :D

CONGRATULATIONS YOU TWO ... YOU DID A GREAT JOB!!!!!!!

The Consolation Tourney winners were ConnieB and InnJohn. They beat out Pkrface and Jailer to claim victory.

When asked how long they'd been playing together, they both said it was their first time and neither have a regular partner. Maybe this tourney will help match up some of these single players ... at least for Euchre. :)

ConnieB always goes by ConnieB - she tells us, "I'm just me - all over the net - everywhere I go - I have this name cause it's MINE!! LOL. InnJohn (known as a *cross-dresser*) has also used the names JohnH, MaybeNot, and John - among others that he wasn't telling us. LOL.

ConnieB (27 and holding) is pure Texan and plans to stay that way. Connie is a widow with four children - one son and three daughters. Connie works for the Post Office as a Sub on a Rural Route. She's been there for 10 years. She also has been driving a school bus for the last 5 years.

John (36) is originally from Brooklyn, NJ and now resides in Lakewood, NJ. John likes to just pretend he's married, but we know better. He's got a lovely wife named, Doreen and some kids. He wasn't big on giving us details ... he probably forgot. :D John works on mainframe computers (we wondered if he fixed them - or broke them, actually). LOL.

When Connie has spare time (which isn't often), it's been said she's an angel of mercy. Connie does kind things for other people and she has a generous soul and a heart as big as Texas. Connie also helps out with her grandchild late at night :) Connie also likes to travel and make spontaneous visits to friends. One of Connie's favorite movies is "Brigadoon" and her favorite book is "Haunted Mesa" by Louis L'Amor.

John, on the other hand, plays Might & Magic VI or Heroes. His favorite book is a trilogy called "Lord of the Rings" by Tolkiens. And he likes horror flicks. (Me, too, John!!) John can't wait for the new "Godzilla" movie to come out ... it should be a blast to see what they've done to him!

Connie is very glad her daughter MADE her buy a computer. She says she has made some very wonderful and valuable friends on the net. John agrees that you can make some really great friends on the net. John also wants his nekkid toon from INN back. LOL.

Connie has been playing euchre about seven or eight months now ... and just loves the game. John relied on me to help him remember how long he'd been playing ... and we agreed about three or four years. LOL. Men just have no memory, do they? :D

When asked how they happened to win the Consolation Tourney, Connie let John answer. John tells us, "Pard, sheer luck :)))))" They admit they went from ice cold to roaring hot and are very happy they won. When asked if they had any strategies or tips to give us, John said, "Yeah, you order, plan on one yourself, make pard get the rest." LOL. Connie admits they are the "come
from behind and catch up team." LOL.

Connie tells us her favorite quote is from Will Rogers (she thinks) and it says, "A stranger is just a friend I have yet to meet." She also says to be sure you are nice to all you come into contact with...you never can tell when it's an angel sent from above giving you a test. :)
