A total of 26 teams filled our
tournament with only one team able to beat off all of the opponents ..
and Katy and Butch did just that. Katy & Butch pushed aside the runners-up
(LdyBlue & George98) for a victory walk around the euchre track. And
the crowd cheered on!! When asked how long these two had played together,
they said about 5 hours. They must have been practicing BEFORE the big
tourney, huh? LOL. Neither have regular pards, as Katy had just started
playing here this past week and Butch takes random partners for his games
... until now ... now Katy is the new love of his life, Butch tells us!
Katy added the 321 to her name so she'd remember her extension at work
(LOL), while Butch says he chose his name to prohibit confusion in the
family, real name Darwin and nicked butch. Well OK then. Katy is 39 years
young and divorced with two children. Katy is in the secretarial field.
Butch admits to being married "a few times" but wouldn't cough up what
a few were. LOL. Butch works for ACBL and works with bridge tournaments
for North America. Katy's favorite web site is ours, of course!! and would
like brownie points for her answer. (Making a note to send Katy some brownies.)
Katy also admits she used to have hobbies and favorite things to do ...
until GPP Euchre came along. LOL. Butch says he just likes looking at computer
screens and playing games. (I'm sure he means GPP games.) LOL.When asked
for any euchre tips they might share with us, Butch admits they won by
skill. Of course the great hands they had helped alot, he insisted. Katy
says, "You must get euchred the first hand, right, pard?" LOL. Butch says
you have to trust your pard to cover you, while Katy relies on bribing
the dealer. LOL.

The Consolation tourney winners
were FourSuits and Specialty (specialty of what, is what we wanted to know)
LOL. They whipped the team of JoJoMN and Rudy3 to become our winners tonight.
Looks like JoJo and Rudy will need to be consoled, huh? When asked how
long they had been partners, they told us about 5 months now. Time sure
flies when you're playing euchre. LOL. When asked about their nicknames,
FourSuits says he chose his name because he's always 4-suited. Specialty
admits she has a real talent...my specialty is to get euchred on a loner...not
many can do this :) LOL.FourSuits tell us he's "from his Mom" and now lives
in Iowa (thinking he's a wise-ass ... LOL) and Specialty is from Ohio.
Did she say Ohio? Ohhhh ... the best people are from Ohio!!! Specialty
is married with kids. She's a part-time cashier, wife, cook, nurse, doctor,
maid, etc., etc., etc. WHEW .. I'm tired just typing that!!! FourSuits
is married with a daughter who's 14 going on 21. Does that mean she's old
enough to date? Watch out, Dad!! He's an auto parts salesman. FourSuits

Specialty prefers OUR newsletter. You Go Girl!!! Specialty also likes to
walk the track...and loves her p.c. When asked how they happened to win
tonight, Specialty admits that her partner usually says "oh no" when she
calls a loner. He used to say good luck ... but has since reworded his
response. LOL. But Specialty tells us not to be afraid of being euchred
... and FourSuits advises us all to watch the Jerry Springer Show (who's
also from Ohio). LOL. Specialty would like to thank her partner, FourSuits,
for putting up with her loners.
