teams fought long and hard for the right to win ... but only one team came
out on top - EUCHem and travelman!! They slaughtered runners-up katy321
and Butchc who were vying for a second win this week. They have been partners
forever ... well since just before INN shut down (that was the ImagiNation
Network for those of you who don't know). And a lot of references to being
old was bandied about by all. :D When asked where they came up with
their nicknames, EUCHem said from her "widdow mind" ... while travelman
picked his because he's a travel agent. Free trips anyone??? EUCHem used
to be INNnil on INN. Think she played spades alot? I think so!!! I'm wondering
if she made all those nils she named herself after. LOL. Seems like our
winners don't read the newsletters, but it was suggested they do, since
EUCHem is mentioned quite often. LOL. EUCHem is from California, married,
and has three daughters who are still alive. Are you wondering what I'm
wondering? A little too much PMS in that house?? LOL. Travelman says, "
he's from here and still lives here ... and well, he's originally from
his mommy." You'd think our Euchre tourney name would be called "Wise-Ass
Euchre Tourney." LOL. Travelman is also married with a son whom he also
says is blessed to live this long. Well ... no PMS there, but maybe his
son has his wise-ass attitude? LOL. When asked their ages, EUCHem replied,
"NONE OF YOUR DAMMMM BUSINESS!" Me thinks that is a touchy subject
for our Ms. EUCHem!! travelman says he's just older than dirt. Of course,
Kaliki agrees that EUCHem is also older than dirt. LOL. EUCHem works
for a Day Care facility and is a student (a student of what - she didn't
say). Reckon I better not guess on this one. LOL. travelman is, of
course, a travel agent, tho he says he tries NOT to work. When asked if
either had a favorite home page they like to visit, EUCHem told us no,
but she got hung up trying to win that case of Pop Tarts that Lisag told
her about. She must really like those pop tarts, huh? When not busy working
- and playing euchre, EUCHem plays spades and travelman likes to sleep
- but he doesn't get to do that very often. EUCHem's favorite movie is
"Braveheart", starring Mel Gibson ... she got a little excited mentioning
this ... me thinks she's a HUGE fan of his. EUCHem loves to read
but doesn't have a favorite. Travelman tells us he can't read or see so
has no favorite book or movie. Of course, if he can't see, I'm wondering
how he won this tourney? LOL. When asked how long they've been playing
euchre, travelman tells us since high school (which was a LONGGGGGGGG TIME
AGOOOOOO). LOL. EUCHem has never played with "real" cards" but travelman
taught her how to play online about a year ago. Travelman takes full credit
for how good she is at playing euchre. When asked how they happened
to win tonight, EUCHem said it was because the ladder wasn't active ...
LOL. Travelman tells us it's because he slapped her every time she made
a mistake. I'm wondering, if she made mistakes on purpose, aren't you?
LOL. EUCHem also said they probably won because Jo stayed away from their
table. She tells us that Jo's visit to their table, while they're playing,
is like the "kiss of death" I think Jo has been told to stay away ... but
in a really nice way. LOL. Travelman leaves us with this advice ... "don't
give interviews - they may come back to haunt you."

| The Consolation
Tourney winners were CJCaper and waltmen!! They squeaked by DOC5 and Bo5
to win this round. When asked how long they had been partners, CJ asked
what time it was ... then said about 2.5 hours. (Another smart-ass I'm
thinking - LOL) and waltmen tells us they've played 4 games together ...
I'm guessing it's their first time. LOL. Then, of course, we
wanted to know who they usually play with (euchre, that is). CJ doesn't
have a regular partner ... and we had to pass her some kleenex to stop
all that sniffling. LOL. CJ got her name because she's a caper (from Cape
Breton, Nova Scotia) and CJ is her maiden initials (used to be her nickname).
She tells us her hubby calls her Eunice ... but wouldn't explain that --
I'm thinking there might be a story here!! waltmen used to use "honeybunny"
... but didn't tell us why. I'm thinking waltmen is kinda shy. LOL. Waltmen
is from Sarnia, Ontario (but tells us he's really here this very moment).
Waltmen is a student so he's not married and has not kids ... he tells
us he's too young (22) but 22 is not too young - trust me on this! CJ is
from Nova Scotia, Canada and is married to OneMadMac, has a daughter who's
6 and a son who's 4. She is an engineering professor. Waltmen's favorite
website is: aint-it-cool-net.com. (I'm wondering what's so cool about this
LOL) and also likes:Geocities.com/TimesSquare/Stadium/2112. Waltmen likes
to read books, watch movies, and play computer games in his spare time
(he likes "Red Alert" when he can get it to work). CJ likes to play "Command
& Conquer." waltmen's favorite movies are The Star Wars Trilogy and
he loves the book "It" by Stephen King. CJ prefers "The Blues Brothers"
and the book "Jonathan Livingston Seagull". Waltmen tells us he's better
looking than Brad Pitt and that he has a charming personality ... and that
seemed to spark some real interest in CJ. I'm thinking she's a Brad Pitt
fan. LOL. Is propositioning other players OK? GO FOR IT GIRL!!!! CJ has
been playing euchre for 10 years while waltmen has only been playing since
he was 16 ... which wasn't that long ago. LOL. When asked how they happened
to win the consolation tourney, waltmen admitted they cheated ... LOL ...
and really says "no - it was just luck." CJ admits she drank Labatt's ALL
NIGHT LONG ... guess being a bit tipsy can't hurt, huh? LOL. CJ admits
to being a better euchre player than her hubby, OneMadMac ... and waltmen
said this win was for Flipper ... now I'm wondering which Flipper -- the
middle finger flipper ... or the dolphin? waltmen's last words of wisdom
were to always let him win - or he'd cry. EUCHem promised to let him win
if he indeed looked like Brad Pitt. LOL.

THE POOR DEB AWARD goes to....
Last week Deb03 had hoped to win her
3rd straight tourney..she was confident and in good form....then things
took a turn for the worst....just before her first table was called, she
crashed....unable to return until the tourney was almost over. So this
week she was ready....one of the first in the room...needing that euchre
rush...then, once again, just as the first round tables were called, disaster
struck ....
