We had 30 teams
tonight ... each one begging to be tonight's champions ... but roxxxx and
Chris501 outdid them all!! They bumped off runners-up butchc & KatyRed
in no time flat to take top honors. Roxxxx was born in West Virginia and
now lives in the Ft. Lauderdale area (not too far from me). She has four
strapping young boys (Wayne/16, Daniel/15, Brian/13, and Michael/12). roxxxx
is 41 ... well not really ... she's 22 and from Hawaii (well at least in
her dreams). Roxxxx is a nurse in the ICU department. Chris501 was born
and raised (and still lives) in Alberta, Canada. He says he and roxxxx
are married online (how sweet!). Chris is 39 ... one more year til the
big 40 buddy! Chris works for the police department and with Social Services.
He then whispered that he really is a male stripper, but didn't want roxxxx
to know. OK Chris, we won't tell roxxxx that YOU'RE A STRIPPER!!!!!!!!!!
And I bet you look great in a uniform (wink, wink). When not online playing
euchre with Chris, roxxxx likes to read and does some craft work. Chris
prefers backpacking, hiking in the mountains, bike riding, and working
with children.Chris likes the movie "The Truman Show" and his favorite
book is "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy." Chris, don't you know hitchhiking
is dangerous!!! Roxxxx loves the movie "Steel Magnolias" (it made her cry
... of course, it probably would make every female cry) and she loves suspense
novels. Chris tells us that, "ROXXXX IS THE GREATEST!!" Roxxxx has been
playing euchre for about 30 years, while Chris has only been playing euchre
online for about eight months. Yep - practice makes perfect. LOL When asked
how they happened to win tonight, Chris tells us that besides getting good
cards, it was all ROXXXX's doing! roxxxx says, "My pard has GUTZ...go down
fighting he says." Hey, that's the spirit, you two! Then dreamily,
Chris adds, "I just have to look into my pard's eyes." What a man! When
asked for their euchre tips or strategies, Chris tells us not to cry tooooo
hard when you get euchred - it will wreck your keyboard - LOL. He then
tells us that roxxxx is on her 4th one. Chris says, "I want to thank you
all for having these tourneys ... you GUYS are GREAT!" Roxxxx chimed in
with, "I agree, Chris ... I know it's hard work and a general pain in the
butt ... but we all do appreciate it." When asked if they had any final
words of wisdom to leave us with, roxxxx exclaimed, "Oh God ... if u give
em your pic ... all the old ladies at ww will hunt u down, pard!" She then
added, "He is soooooooooo CUTE."

The Consolation Tourney winners were bearsall
& Wolffee. They edged out LdyBlue and George98 for victory. Bearsall
is orginally from Toldeo, Ohio but not resides in Clearwater, Florida.
Wolffee is from Maryland (born in Dundalk and now resides in Aberdeen).
Wolffee (who is over 18) is very happily married - most of the time! Says
the 2nd time around is always better. She has two children - one boy/one
girl ... Nikki is 9 and Branden is 4. Bearsall (who is 20 something - YEAH
RIGHT!) says he's married. He seems to think the third time is the charm.
When asked how many children he had, he tells us he has too many to count
... and then when he did count them, he told us 7 ... then revised it to
8 ... seems to me he could almost start his own city with 3 wives and 7
or 8 children. LOL. Bearsall tells us he doesn't work - he just lays on
the beach a lot ... isn't that called a beach bum? LOL. Wolffee tells us
she works for the government. I guessed for the X-files - and she told
me I was close. LOL. Wolffee says she doesn't remember her home page address
... that she only did one for a class reunion and it's stupid. LOL. But
she does have a friend who has a great home page and would like everyone

When asked what they like to do in their spare time, bearsall tells us
he just likes going to the beach (I'm beginning to see a pattern here).
Wolffee likes to read, talk on the net with her cyber friends, clean house,
and chase the kids. Bearsall's favorite movie is "Gone With The Wind,"
while Wolffee's favorite is "Sound of Music" because it's so uplifting.
Wolfee also likes the books "Lord of the Rings." Wolffee has been playing
euchre about 9 years (only one online) and bearsall has been playing about
20 years (with about two years online). When asked how they happened to
win tonight, Wolfee said they beat the odds and bearsall said they were
giving each other hand signals. And then there were the winks. LOL. When
asked if they had any euchre tips or strategies for us, Wolffee reminds
us to play to have fun! bearsall tells us to get the trump out of the opponents
hands when you call trump. Bearsall tells us he has a GREAT PARTNER!!!!
while Wolffee agrees that he is the greatest, as well! Bearsall says you
have to have a fun time - win or lose.
