We had 24 teams tonight trying to win the most treasured title of "Euchre Champs" ... but only one team could do it ... "cardpard & MystOne!" It was a close race, but they had a victory over runners-up jxly & RHardin40. Tonight was their first night playing euchre together. MystOne's usual partner is LadyZee and cardpard's usual partner is ConnieA. Cardpard chose his name because he said it sounded "melodic," while MystOne chose his because he likes words like Mystery, Mystic, Mystique, etc., etc. MystOne finally admitted to also being "ImACow" during our Friday Night Euchre Tourney and teasing JoAnneP. Her response to finding this out was (and I quote), "OMG!!! You little S**T!!! ROFL!!! I don't believe it!!! I should kill you know!!! LOL!!!" Watch out, Myst - she's out for blood!!! MystOne, who's 59 years young, tells us he was born in Illinois and now resides near Seattle, Washington. He's married with one wife (well we HOPE so) and four children. MystOne is an Electronics Engineer ... works with computer systems (networks, etc.) relating to the medical electronics field. Cardpard, who's 49 years young, was also born in Illinois and now resides in Scottsdale, Arizona. He's married with no children - currently. (Does that mean he's trying???) cardpard is a Public School Administrator. When not working or playing euchre, cardpard likes restoring antiques and cars. MystOne tells us he likes giving us all a hard time. He is also working on a web page (HA!). We'll see if he ever gets it finished. LOL. Cardpard tells us he likes French films and MystOne seemed eager to agree with him. Of course, they couldn't name any titles ... think they only look at the pictures??? LOL. Cardpard enjoys reading the Peter Mayle series on Province and he's going there next month. MystOne doesn't have a favorite. Myst dear, too many to mention? Or you don't read ... books, huh? :) MystOne tells us he's been playing euchre about 10 months. cardpard says his brother taught him how to play about 40 years ago. When asked how they won tonight, MystOne said, "MY PARD PLAYED GREAT!" while cardpard tells us, "My pard goes for it, and I help him out." When asked if they had any tips or strategies to share with us, MystOne told us to bid fast and bluff a lot ... and hope your pard saves you. LOL. cardpard tells us he tries to think like his partner, but that can be very HARD. Their last words of wisdom were to Live Til You Die ... and have fun at it. Thanks Guys ... you did GREAT ... Lynn10  OgreJim - Before OgreJim - After - The question is: After WHAT??? ;);)

Our Consolation Tourney winners tonight were Lynn10 and OGREJIM. They edged out runners- up luveuchre and MBoyd. Lynn and Jim have been playing euchre together since December, 1997 and are steady partners. Of course I had to explain I mean playing "euchre together" - nothing more. The little dickens!! Lynn tells us she chose her nickname because her middle name is Lynn and she wants to look like a 10. Jim tells us he chose his nickname because he's an ogre and his name is Jim. Lynn says that Jim is a sweetie and it's his son who calls him an ogre. Lynn is fondly called Lynner by our gal Jo ... and Jim tells us he sometimes goes by OrgyJim, as well. Jim? Is that when you're in the mood for one??? :) Jim is 44 and was born in Detroit and now resides in Tucson, Arizona. He has a son who's 24. Jim is retired so considers his occupation to be a lazy bum. LOL. Lynn is 41 and was born in Virginia and still lives there (and according to her ... WILL PROBABLY DIE IN DAD-BLASTED VIRGINIA). She is married with five dogs and two cats. I hear it's a great site, so please go visit. When not playing euchre, Jim likes to fix and build computers. He also belongs to the Lions Club and works with them to get glasses for school children. Lynn tells us she's always on the net or playing euchre. Lynn tells us she loves to read anything by Stephen King. And ... her favorite movie - in the whole wide world - is ... Debbie Does Dallas!!! Must be why she wants everyone to visit her website, huh??????? Jim perked up and asked if she was the star of that movie??? I think Lynn was blushing. Lynn wanted us to be sure to say that Jim is the best pard in the whole wide entire world ... and that sucking up helps when you play euchre. LOL. When asked how they happened to win their tourney, Jim tells us they just got the right cards. He also suggests that you just have fun. Lynn had a couple tips for us and they are:    (Lynn10) EUCHRE TIP #1 NEVER OVER-ESTIMATE MY ABILITY TO GET US EUCHRED PARD (Lynn10) EUCHRE TIP #2 IF ALL ELSE FAILS.. TAKE PAIN PILLS LOL   When it came time to brag, Lynn had this to say, "I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THIS TO ALL MY WORTHY OPPONENTS TONIGHT.. :-PPPPPPPP" Enough said, Lynn. LOL. When asked for any last words of wisdom, Jim tells us to live life to it's fullest and just have fun. Lynn says, "If life deals you a bad hand ... bid anyway." Great going you two ... CONGRATULATIONS ON A JOB WELL DONE!
