There were 18 teams trying for the Number 1 spot in our Friday Night Partners' Euchre Tourney, and Dunf & Tis1 took top honors. They beat out runners-up OgreJim & Lynn10 for this much sought victory. Dunf & Tis have been partners since last November when Dunf first beat her. (YEAH, RIGHT...lol, says Tis.) Tis also used the name Latisha but says, "Latisha is a REAL BlTCH and gets into LOTS of trouble...lol" and that she "plays euchre like GARBAGE.....lol." Dunf tells us when he has a bad first two weeks of the month, Dilligaf makes an appearance. Dunf tells us he was born in a state of anxiety and lives in a state of confusion. Naw, really he was born in Corning, NY and now resides in Rochester. Tis was born in the hospital in New York and now lives in a mental institute....lol. Tis, who is 27, is married and has a son who's seven years old. She's an Executive Secretary. Dunf, who is 30, tells us he's never been married and has no kids, but then claims Steven (8), Greg (5), and Laura (2). I think Dunf is off his rocker. LOL. He drives around New York trying to talk engineers into buying stuff ... anybody want any? He didn't quite say "what stuff." When not busy working or playing euchre, Tis likes to garden, play the violin, sing, dance, and flirt, flirt, flirt! Dunf likes to listen to music, play volleyball, juggle, and go cycling. Dunf really likes the movie Fargo and his favorite book is "Jonathan Livingston Seagull". Tis enjoys the movie "Far and Away" (because Tom Cruise is in it) and likes the same book because it is a wonderful autobiography. When asked if there was anything else they wanted to see in print, Tis tells us, "a proposal to me from Tom Cruise....lol" while Dunf would like to see the Gettysburg Address. Dunf has been playing euchre since high school and Tis has been playing for about 12 years. When asked how they happened to win, Dunf tells us, "she kept callin loners! and making 'em, too - that helped!" Tis didn't even know they had won until we told her. Dunf said, "I kept her distracted ... and she didn't know we were winning... that way, she couldn't put any pressure on herself!" Dunf shares with us his strategies for winning: #1 Strategy.... Score more points than the other team and #2 Strategy... do that 6 times in a row on Friday nights. GREAT JOB YOU TWO - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

The Consolation Tourney winners were jrxly & EuchrBrat, who beat out Jenn26 & Viltran. They have been partners for about a year now. Jrxly tells us she got her name because her ex used to call her Beaver. EuchrBrat tells us his came from Kansas according to the twit on irc that wanted his nick back. EuchrBrat also has about 35 other nicknames that he was nice enough not to list. When asked where she was born, jrxly tells us, "my mom said I wasn't born." (Awwwwww). I asked is she was hatched and she then admitted she was born in Pennsylvania and now lives in Ohio. EuchrBrat was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada but moved because he got sick of speaking French. He now lives in Toronto. Jrxly is 48 years young, separated, and has six children (3 boys & 3 girls ranging from 15-26). She is a cashier/asst. manager of a grocery store, which means she takes jerks and treats them like they are the most important customers on the face of this earth. EuchrBrat is 38 years young, been married three times, and has four children (2 boys/7 & 8 and 1 girl/15). He is a business owner ... sells Viagra on the side (it's not yet approved in Canada). When not working (or playing euchre), jrxly loves to fish, camp, swim, and she just LOVES football. EuchrBrat likes driving his 94,0000.00 Acura NXS at speeds we can only imagine and he enjoys playing with his kids. "Lethal Weapon" is jrxly's favorite movie and her favorite book is "The Physicians". However, EuchrBrat prefers "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" because he thinks it's the funniest thing he's ever seen. When asked how long they'd been playing euchre, jrxly tells us, "most of my life because when you grow up poor, you play cards." EuchrBrat says he learned the game two weeks before he began playing with jrxly. When asked how they happened to win tonight, jrxly readily admitted they used ICQ or Pow Wow. (She was kidding folks - calm down!!) She then laughed and said, "It's because we are like salt and pepper when it comes to cards - we click together." Their last words to live by were: jrxly, "Thanks - this is fun for those of us with no life. This is a great tourney and you all are the best and make it fun!" EuchrBrat, "Love yer kids cause they will be the ones that will decide on yer retirement home." CONGRATS JRXLY & EUCHRBRAT -- YOU PLAYED GREAT :))))))
