Luvsjazz and Banddito edged out runners-up Kohlia and Skoshe for the win. This was their first time ever playing together in a tournament. Banddito's usual partner is Attagirl and he took his nickname because his dog's name is Bandit. Luvsjazz has no usual partner and her nickname came about because her horse's name is JAZmine, so . . . she loves Jazz! ;))) Banddito told us he's from Istanbul, to which his partner commented, "What a Turkey!!!!!" LOL!" But we know better, he's really from Toronto, Canada where he and his wife, Bewhiched (who also plays on GPP) run their own business and raise their four children . . . ages 15, 16, 17, and 19 (two girls and two boys). Luvs tells us she's from Brooklin . . . but not New York! We never did get her to explain that!! She's married and also has four children . . . five if she gets to count her hubby!! LOL!! She refused to reveal her age . . . instead she tried to convince us that she was 29 years old!! ;))) She's an accountant. Banddito is 38 and his company name is "AME Deck and Fence" . . . he even has a web page for his company . . . http://www.durhambusiness.com/home/ame . Check the page out and see what beautiful work he does!!! ;))) When not playing euchre or working, Banddito likes making puzzles and playing on the net. Luvs prefers to do needlepoint when she finds the time, to ride her horse ("if I ever figure out the front from the back . . . lol!"), and SPEND MONEY!!!!!!!!! LOL!!! Her favorite movie is "Top Gun" . . . but we think she just likes Tom Cruise!! ;))) Luvsjazz lists Diet Coke and her fingernails as her favorite snacks while playing euchre. While Banddito prefers . . . "beer, beer, and more beer!" LOL!!! Banddito loves his job and wouldn't change it for the world but Luvs longs to be a millionairess . . . and if she can't be, she'll also keep her current job!! ;)))) She told us she was a perfect 10 . . . 10 - 10 - 10!! LOL!!! Luvs confided that she's been playing euchre for 30 years . . . tough to do when you're only 29!!! ROFL!!! Banddito has been playing for 25 years. They then proceeded to thank each other for the great playing and to thank Westwood for the euchre program!! ;))) Luvs claims their secret of success was "mostly LUCK!" However, Banddito told us, "Great minds think alike!" Their winning strategies were: Banddito, "Never play [euchre] with your wife!" and Luvsjazz, "I take chances and depend on my pard to help out!" Her euchre motto is, "Give it a try . . . do or die!!!" When asked for a most embarrassing moment, Luvs answered, "If I answered that, we'd be here all night!! LOL!" However, she did recall that she had a good recipe for hockey pucks if anyone wanted it . . . only problem is . . . they were SUPPOSED to be Yorkshire Puddings!! LOL!! Banddito's words of wisdom were, "Cold pizza sucks . . . and so does warm beer!!" Luvs says, "Enjoy life . . . it's too short!" She also had some other sage advice, passed down to her from her mother . . . "The first time - marry for love . . . the second time - marry for money . . . because you always love it!!" LOL!! They both thanked everyone and said they had a BLAST!! Well, thanks to all the GREAT euchre players . . . we did too!! WAY TO GO, Luvsjazz and Banddito . . . nice playing you two!!

In the consolation tourney Swtbby and TableTalk beat out runners-up Maggie5 and Meis9. Swtbaby wasn't too sure about being grilled for dinner . . . errrrrrrr . . . ahhhhhhh . . . the newsletter and was overheard telling her partner, "Pard, you can do all the talking . . . since that is your nick! LOL!" Of course TableTalk immediately went and woke up his wife to share the good news!!! What did she say we asked . . . he answered, "whoopie in all small letters!" ROFL!!! To this Swtbaby quipped, " Well, pard . . . here . . . WHOOPIE!!" ;)))))) Once they knew they'd won, it was confession time for TableTalk, "pard, i can tell you now i had a loner first game but didn't pick up - thought it wasn't my deal." LOL!! This was the first time these two fun-loving euchre players had ever played together . . . they were both singles that we matched up right before the tourney started. TableTalk has no usual partner. Swtbaby says, "[I] am fairly new...I did pard with **DFRAF** till I messed his name up lol . Oops! Did it again, only not as bad . . . DFRAG." (*Note: Swtbaby was kicked last tourney for spelling DFRAG's name DFAG while reporting the score . . . ROFL!!) Swtbaby got her nickname from her hubby. ;))) TableTalk explained the origin of his nick, "[It came from] Friends I play cards with, Kevin and Sally - mostly pinochle - and I've written some learners guides for people with that name." Born in Ohio, Swtbaby (age 44) still lives there with her hubby. They have four children . . . ages 26, 25, 24, and 18. Originally from Hatboro, PA, TableTalk (who will be 40 on November 5th) and his poor tired wife, whom he never lets sleep, now reside in Barkhamsted, CT. They have two children, Danny IV (age 9) and Vicki (age 3 and a half). Swtbaby says she's a "domestic wife" however, we've seen her in action enough to know she'll never be domesticated!! ;opppppp TableTalk is a metallurgical engineer and selects the materials used on the space suits they make for NASA. (We have to admit, we were impressed that he could even spell it!! LOL!!) Swtbaby prefers baking, walking and surfing. Her favorite movies are "Love Story" and "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." TableTalk likes "Casablanca" and his favorite book is "The Hobbit." If she could have any job in the world, Swtbaby would be a psychologist because she loves to analyze people. ;))) When they're playing euchre Swtbaby likes to munch on Pringles while TT likes to sip his Diet Pepsi. Swtbaby, who has been playing euchre for 14 years, says she doesn't know how they won . . . especially since they had bad cards all night. TableTalk, who just learned to play euchre last November, told us, "Thanks to my pard!!!!!! Couldn't have gotten there without her - esp those first three games! She did all of the work - I just got lucky the last game!" Swtbaby's winning euchre strategy is "If you get euchred, just keep on calling 'em!" And TT's euchre tip is the famous, "Pass on a bower lose for an hour!" ;))) He also told us that, "The first time I played at Westwood I got euchred the first two hands - didn't have either bower both times - people actually asked if I knew how to play the game!" LOL!! I'd say there was no doubt about that now! His life's philosophy is to "Live for today!" Swtbaby also shared some words of wisdom, "If u walk on ice...u may as well run!" ;))) TT got in the last words . . . "GO PENN STATE BEAT THE BUCKS OCT 3!" LOL!!! CONGRATULATIONS you two . . . you done GOOD!! ;)))
