Kambi . . . okay, okay . . . so it's one letter off . . . but Bambi was the best we could do!!! ;))))   Gidget . . . playing Beach Blanket Bingo? Hehehehehehe!!

There were 26 teams vying for the top honor of winning the Friday Night Partners' Euchre Tourney and only one team could do it - kambi & gidget23! Kambi, with hazel eyes, is 40 and was born in Nebraska but now lives in Oklahoma. She has three children (Ray/18, Karissa/17, Heather/12). Gidget (who didn't know what color her eyes are, but said they are sometimes pink) is 49 and was born in Indiana and still resides there with her husband (of 24 years). She has four children (Jim/29, Kristie/22, Rebecca/21, John/19). When not working, kambi likes to cook and gidget likes to go fishing and she collects beanies - Ty and Disney. (Hey Gidget, if you like beanies, you should watch QVC on the last Saturday of every month. They have a Warner Brothers show and have a lot of beanies! It's on between Noon-2:00 PM EST). Gidget was an assistant manager at a Mobile gas station (and loved it), but she just quit it and starts a new job on Monday at Meijers driving one of the forklift thingies (her words, not mine). Kambi works in a doctor's office and loves it. Gidget's favorite movie is "Titanic;" favorite song is "I Honestly Love You" by Olivia Newton-John; favorite colors are red and black. Kambi's favorite movie is "Jerry McGuire;" favorite TV show is "The Nanny;" favorite song is "You've Got a Friend" by James Taylor; favorite color is purple. Gidget tells us she got her nickname from Moon Doggie (hey, he's my husband! what's he doing giving other ladies names???) LOL. She also uses Deedee. Kambi tells us she used to use bambi, but got tired of it and changed the "b" to a "k" - thus kambi. Kambi has been playing euchre for about 10 years (online 2). Gidget has been playing euchre for more than a year. Tonight was the first time these two ladies partnered up. They're regular partners are Kadena (for gidget) and Baddly (for kambi). When asked how they won tonight, they both agreed - luck and skill. Kambi says to always play and pray and having fun is important. Gidget says to just have fun - it's just a game. (Readers - are you listening???) GREAT PLAYING YOU TWO - CONGRATS!! (BTW, these two lovely ladies were brought in at the last minute because we needed more people to play . . . we want to give them a BIG THANK YOU for stepping in and helping out . . . we really did appreciate that!!!)

The winners of the Consolation Tourney were janni55 & KLYKEY. They beat out runners-up Lynn10 & meis9. Janni, with blue/green eyes, is 43 and was born in Toledo, Ohio. She now resides in Pemberville, Ohio with her husband and has one child (boy/14). She is a school bus driver/teacher's aid and loves it. KLYKEY, with brown eyes, is 36 and was born in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada. He now resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia with his wife and has 5 children (4 girls and 1 boy - ranging in ages 9-20). He's a mature student in electrical engineering. When she's not working, janni likes to bowl, golf, play softball, volleyball, crochet, and sew. KLYKEY is on a pool league. KLYKEY's favorite TV show is "Jeopardy" and his favorite color is red. Janni's favorite movie is "Annie" and favorite color is blue. KLYKEY tells us he chose his nickname because it's a phonetic spelling of his nickname and he's used it for two years. Janni tells us her real name is Janet and she's used her nickname for about a year and a half. She also uses JBodka sometimes. Janni has been playing euchre for about 27 years and online for about a year and a half (in various places). KLYKEY has been playing for about 20 years and online for about a year. They have been playing together for about a month or two. When asked how they won tonight, they told us they got very lucky - the cards weren't that good, but luck held out. KLYKEY said to let your pard play their hand, too. (Does that mean you shouldn't call loners??) Janni tells us to watch the cards - what your partner throws off is a lead back (sometimes). Janni says to have fun and not to take anything too seriously. KLYKEY says to enjoy the game for the game. CONGRATULATIONS YOU TWO . . . GREAT PLAYING!!! ;))))
