Tis, looking a LOT like Jessica Rabbit, and Jimbo, the Limo Man!! ;)))

There were 24 teams vying for the win tonight, but only one team prevailed - Tis1 & JimboLimo. Since there are previous winners, they declined the interview process. Please read their previous interviews in the following newsletters:  1/23/98 - Tis1 and JimboLimo won the main tourney togather.  3/6/98 - Latisha (Tis) won the main tourney with Antgman.  3/13/98 - Latisha and JimboLimo won the consolation tourney together.  4/3/98 - Tis1 and MtLion1 (Jimbo) won the main tourney together.  6/26/98 - Tis1 won the main tourney with Dunf.  7/3/98 - Tis1 and JimboLimo won the main tourney together.  7/31/98 - Tis1 and JimboLimo won the main tourney together.

The Consolation Tourney winners were EUCHem & Desiree2. They edged out runners-up MRBoppie & CalamityS. Desiree has brown eyes and was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and still lives there. She's single and loves to play with other people's money. For fun, Desiree enjoys mountain climbing and biking. Her favorite movies are "Ghost" and "Somewhere in Time;" favorite drink is a lemon slurpee or kahlua; and her favorite color is black or red (all - in euchre). EUCHem, who also has brown eyes, was born in California and still lives there. She's married with three daughters. She's a Day Care provider and loves it. For fun, EUCHem goes to school at night, mainly to show the snot-nosed teens that she's smarter than they are. Her favorite movie is "Braveheart" (or anything with Mel Gibson in it); favorite song is "The Dance" by Garth Brooks; favorite drink is the new Henry Weinhards orange cream soda or margaritas (no salt); and her favorite color is black. (Spades or clubs, perhaps?) Desiree tells us her nickname is her own name. She also uses Athena when she feels like a goddess. EUCHem said she just made it up when she was learning how to play, so people would think she knew how to play. She's used it since she began playing in GPP/Westwood. They've both been playing euchre for about 18 months. EUCHem's regular partner is travelman (who stood her up tonight) and Desiree has several partners (Josh, Precious, HDHoney). EUCHem did say that travelman did come in to apologize for his no-show. But hey ladies - you won without your regular partners - go ahead - take a bow! When asked how they happened to win tonight, EUCHem tells us, "Des called chit no one else would dare call. They were soooo amazed, they couldn't even trump!" Desiree said she thought EUCHem was a guy and wanted to impress "him" with her great card playing. Imagine her surprise when I asked if they were male or female. LOL. Before they started playing tonight, Desiree said the prettiest team would win ... so EUCHem says to always choose the prettiest women to play with - so you can't lose. And they didn't! (Is that the trick? No wonder I can never win a dang-gone game!) They were both equally amazed that they played so well together without knowing how the other plays. Desiree eagerly awaits their pairing up again. (Guess you two better hope your other halves are a no-show again.) Desiree says, "The wisest thing a euchre player can do is to play in the Friday Night Euchre Tourney." EUCHem says, "No, just pretend that I'm a hunk of a guy and continue to impress me with your awesome card playing." LOL. When asked if there was anything else they'd like to see in print, EUCHem said, "Mel Gibson in the nude." I told her I'd contact Playgirl and see if they could oblige us. All Desiree could say was, "We won, we won, we won, we won ... how nice ... LOL."
