Why I will never be able to conquer Japan, and what is even worse then that.

 

Well there are many things not everyone knows about me. I am almost positive no one has heard of my dreams to conquer feudal Japan. Conquering Japan is not easy, and many things have been in my way.

 

First off I only have a 100 MHz Packard bell computer that makes nearly everything difficult. Now one of my friends had a 300 and the other has a 400 celeron.

 

Well you may be wondering what does that matter? Well Ill tell you. The game Shogun Total War requires much more power then my 100 mhz Packard Bell Legend CD Supreme can muster. My friend with the 300 MHz computer is away in college. (YOU GO PAT) and my friend with his 400 MHZ would much rather play Old Nintendo Rom’s then the Shogun (I am not mentioning any names Mike)

 

Now this week seemed like that was all going to change. My friend’s mother is leaving for Ta Hiti, and she needs someone to feed her cats. I LOVE FEEDING CATS. Actually she has a computer and does not mind if I use it. So she is getting ready to leave on vacation and I am more excited then she. So she gives me the keys, and I begin to prepare myself for a nearly all-night Shogun Marathon were I will command armies of up to 1000 men, archers, swordsmen, cavalry the works. ( this is such a great game ill give you guys some screen shots later)

 

Now I come in the front of the building and open the door. Get in the elevator and hit the #6 for the top floor. I take the keys out of my pocket and allow myself a thin smile as I work to the door figuring that this is all to perfect. I stick the key in the door and I start to turn it. IT DOESN’T TURN. Sweet starts to bead on my forehead as I fiddle with the door for seconds, minutes. I was so desperate I even stuck a credit card down the side of the door and fiddled with the mechanism.

 

It took me a while but I soon came to realize that I would not get to conquer Japan this night, and worse yet those cats are gonna starve.
