Welcome to my list of best albums of the 80s and 90s you probably never heard.

note: I'm not some kind of snobby, obscure zealot so on the off chance you HAVE heard these albums, don't bother sending me a triumphant email telling me so. :) These were sold in stores, after all, so someone else bought them too.

The 80s

2. Flash and the Pan "Early Morning Wake Up Call" -- was this ever a real band??
No, it seems ... but on a lark they put out an amazing album.

1. Steve Case "Steve Case" -- Maybe you heard of him because of the Plimsouls ...
their only hit was crap if you ask me ... but on his own, Steve put out an amazing acoustic album,
and he even has Lightnin' Hopkins doing some guitar work. One of those unheralded geniuses.

The 90s

2. Big Audio Dynamite II "The Globe" -- not a single top 40 track on here but taken as a whole this
is just chock full of sweet musical lovin' from beginning to end.

1. Bonepony "Stomp Revival" -- how do I describe it? Well, it's sort of a country/rock/blues sound that makes you stomp your feet.
I mean it -- you will actually have no choice but to stomp your feet. Make your grandparents listen to it and prepare for hilarity. 1
