She had been traveling for a long time. She knew that she must be near. The vegetation of the forest grew so closely together that everything was dark. Ahead of her was a wall of bushes. She reached out her arms, parted the branches in front of her, and poked her head through the bushes.
Suddenly she was awash with light. A full moon shone brightly from overhead. A glow shown off her alabaster face. Her cheeks were slightly rosy from being in the sun. A strong wind was blowing her hair back from her face. The silvery spider threads held a faint golden hue as they gracefully wafted behind her. Her eyes were a deep emerald green, but where the moon reflected in them. There was also a second reflection in the water that was building up along the bottom ridge of her eyes. Her rosy lips were slightly parted, at first, from surprise. Then her top teeth gently bit the bottom lip to stop the quivering, once believement set in.
Jewel looked down the steep cliff into a luscious valley below and saw the village she had been questing for. This was where she was born. This was also where she had been stolen from when she was young. Jewel bent her head into her hands to try to gain control. She took a huge gulp and looked again. There were many small shacks with thatched roofs. Smoke drifted up from a few chimneys. She felt an air of returning home.
