Greetings

2007 update. This was my first experiment in Synchronicity. Long before I wrote my life essay on it. This page alone was responsible for me getting back in contact with some ghosts of the past.

Brandywine Meadows Campground sometime around summer 1977. Isn't the love life of a teenager wonderful when you can meet a girl one day and be playing around trying to make out under water 2 hours later in a pond. Jackie was her name. Jackie Atkinson. Speaking of the pond, One night sitting by the pond with a half 6 pack in the water under the cold spring waterfall. You walked up like a dream in the moonlight. Long hair. Sweet eyes. I asked your name and you told me it was Keith. What kind of a girl is named Keith. Strange name for a girl I said and you told me your real name was Troy and you were such a Rolling Stones fan and a Keith Richards fan. Troy is such a beautiful name. I thought you were beautiful and didn't have the nerve to try and make any moves. So I just offered you a beer and we talked for hours sitting on top of a picnic table. Then you were gone. I wrote a short romantic version of our meeting in a little story. I named my first kid Keith. I always joked with my ex that I named him after a girl. She never believed me until she found the story in my stuff after we had split and I moved out and she was going through my old stuff..

CB Radio back in the mid 70's was just like online chat is today. Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls, and Wissahickon were big with local CBers. Locals meeting for parties. So many friends made. Where are any of them now. Rainbow, Babe, hotsy-totsy, bigmamma and her daughter Rose Ann, Handles that modernized into screennames. I met a woman that called herself Trouble. The handle certainly fit. I wonder where Rene is now. Rene had a daughter Amber. Rene Bernat, Such a nice ring to the name. And then there was the sexiest voice I ever heard in my life from a girl that called herself Qantas. I thought it was a made up voice till we talked on the phone for 8 hours one night. Ahh. She said her real name was Arlen. Then she dissappeared. We had managed to center her signal in Bala Cynwyd but we could never got a lock on her. Two years later a friend told me she knew who she was and she had just left for school. For the life of me I can't remember what she said her real name was. I don't even remember what my friends name was. She owned a guard dog business and we were discussing Qantas while I was helping her deliver a dog to Teddy Prendergrass in his Bala Cynwyd mansion. This was in 1979. Speaking of highbrow neighborhoods Billy Gerson where are you? I can't remember any of those girls names you introduced me to in your penn valley neighboorhood. Like that girl that lived across the street where we went to watch the rocky horror picture show. And you could have helped me a little more in trying to hook up with your sister Jodi. Did you have to tell her I was from Manayunk :) I can see she made it big as an executive vice president for a record company, EMI. But she didn't marry that college prep she was going out with then. Cool. I wonder if I'll get in trouble if I mention the Name Jodi Gerson a few times :) Jody if you read this I would just like to say hi to Billy. It was you that told your mother I was ok to be around Billy so you must have thought I was OK at some point :) ..

Why can't I remember last names of girls I was in love with? Whats up with that? Lorraine and the IHM dances. A night with my parents at an Atlantic city Casino when there were just 2 of them. Why can't I remember your last name. Or your sister's first name either. 2007 update, Lorraine Sulik was her name.

Lisa D******. There was a paragraph here all about Lisa D****** from 1997 till 2003 which I am changing now because I found her. Even thought I had mentioned her name 3 times when I was doing web searches this page was not coming up which made me forget about it. But somehow I managed to find her email address. Strange talking to someone from 25 years in your past. Strange how perceptions change over the years. What started as a faint voice on the CB radio turned in to an ordinary one of a few girls I was dating at the time. But over the next several years she became my Muse. Sort of an internal obsession. When a relationship went bad I would think back and wonder what if. a few years into my first marriage and my ex found a picture of Lisa. It was such a great pic, like a professional headshot. She was absolutely beautiful. And of course the ex ripped it up during one of our arguments. So over the years I always looked back and wondered. Lisa was the one person I thought I would like to talk to the most from my past. After contacting her I realized the idolization and the adoration I had for her over the years had built up after the fact. So here I was talking to a goddess. But to her I was just a guy she had some good times with. Is took me a while to calm down and just have normal conversations and Lisa if you ever read this I am so glad we got to talk again Please don't lose touch :)

Anyway

Unfortunatly my ex threw all my old letters and notes out. So if it wasn't in my mind it was lost. The only thing I had burned into my mind was a phone number from a girl in mansfield Ohio. Amazing how I remember 1 phone number from 20 years ago.
Maureen McDevitt, you know who you are :) Actually it's Maureen Browning now isn't it? Every once in a while a search on your name comes up with new pictures from your acting job :) I liked the picture of you as a Nun. I really wish I could remember the other girls name that I hung out with that weekend you and your family were in Philadelphia with in 1979. Or that convention of your Father's you were at the Marriott for. Sorry to bother you after 25 years but what was that other girl's name? Didn't she live in Zion Illinois? Maureen Browning Mansfield Ohio if you happen to stop by it's nice to be able to see your pictures from the playhouse.

Second set of great friends made was on some atari bbs systems. Middle Earth II. You people know who you are also. Especially you Mike. Nice to talk to you after 18 years. Then there was the first BBS chat systems. Philly Chat, Playpen. Actually some of you are still around on a ddial for the 90's. Another set of people I miss are ones I worked with at Martin's Aquarium in Jenkintown in 1986. It was a second job. Quite different from my engineering job. Carrie, where are you now. And why can't I remember your last name? All I remember is that you lived in Elkins Park. Last I heard you married Jim. And how in the world do you do a web search for a Jim Brown or James Brown? And Tracy, What a missed opportunity you were.

The MAJORBBS chat systems started at that time. Hot Chat. Genesis. Definitly devided the Ex and me. She had her friends I had mine. Toby Toby Toby.. Ms. Crowley, Toby Crowley, aka Toby Grand. Strange way to connect with someone huh. I can understand why you may not want any contact now. Maybe we were just two ships in the night. The 80's were closing with a bang :) How did you like that. Only one paragraph for the whole 80's. Three years onsite at Smith Kline. Bored with a career. Time for a change. Merck help desk 1992. Drexel co-op heaven :) You people opened my eyes. Donna, You were such a friend. Renee and Chuck. I miss those drexel frat parties. Val, OooOOoOoo my lap has never been the same. Dumped the baggage and hit big time party time. I won't get into the stint at the bill collection operation. Collecting for adult services. Unfortunatly it wasn't a "stand-up" operation.
