Kenya gets a bath after her win in the Boca Ranton Stakes
`We didn't think she was up to the stakes races when we first bought her,' commented the assistant trainer, Tommy Wilcox. `...but we could see she was just plain bored with maiden and allowence levels, so we first tried her in the IOR Emerald Breeder's Cup Distaff, where she came in dead last, but she was trying. This race has seem to gotten her mind on winning.'
When asked what was in store for Kenya, head trainer Lindsay Orler replied, `We're not quite sure as of right now. We'll see how her training goes and if she's up for another stakes. If so, I have my eye on IOR Fayette Stakes(III) at LLantano Park.'
Kenya was bred by Norwood Farms (CA) and now resides in Michigan at YellowBrook Farms, owned and operated by Lindsay Orler.
