This is the recon page. I have several recon photos available. I finally got around to working on this page as it is in need of an update. Enjoy!
The Airfields
This is the main field. This field can't be captured but can be damaged. It has 2 hangar positions, some fuel cells in the back corner, the ammo barracks to the right of the field and the tower in the middle. It has 4 acks and can be extremely difficult to get anywhere near. These acks (because their protecting the main field) can have a range of up to 20k.
This is the secondary field. These are the most common fields and can be captured. It has one hangar position, some fuel cells and ammo barracks. The tower is in between the two acks, making it extremely difficult to knock out radar. I have noticed an ack near the vertical runway so the positions of the AAA may vary from field to field. This field will only have a max. of 2 acks with a PROBABLE range of 1 mile (5K).
This is the Emergency field. It is usually close to the front lines so pilots can make a swift landing. You will notice that there are no Hangars and only one ack. These fields are relatively easy to capture and pretty much useless unless you capture them so your enemy has to start from farther back. You can use these as a springboard to other airfields by prepping the fields then taking a Gooney from the nearest emergency field.
Airfield Composition
This photos are provided as a closer look at the composition of an air field.
The fuel cells contain, well, fuel. Destroying one of these facilities can render aircraft taking off from that airfield at a disadvantage. They will perform slightly worse than usual.
The ammo barracks control the ammo supply at a field. Destroying this complex will force your enemies to take off with less ammo, usually missing their supply of cannon rounds.
The hangars hold the aircraft. So in a logical sort of way, if you take out the hangars, there's less aicraft to deal with. This can be a good strategy to eliminate aircraft taking off from the front lines.
This is a pilots' worst enemy. The radar tower. Nocking out this structure will eliminate radar coverage over the area for 30 minutes. This should be eliminated after or during the destruction of the acks.
Strategic Targets
The following are NOT on the map so you'll have to search for them. They are worth searching for however as they will cripple your enemys ability to carry on the fight!
The aircraft factory. If you bomb these buildings it will, your enemy will lose the type of plane that the factory was manufactoring. This can be good if you're being bother by some FWs and you happen to take out the FW factory! HE HE HE!!
The ammo factory. If you spot one of your enemy's ammo factories, call in the cavalry! Destroying one of these will halt all shipments to your enema's airfields so nail the ammo barracks as soon as you destroy the factory. Doing so will cause your enema to take off with low ammo supply and NO cannon rounds. It takes approx. 30 minutes for the factory to get back online.
This is the Ammo Depot. These are usually situated in the middle of nowhere. If you destroy these it will take longer to resupply damaged fields till the host repairs it.
This is the Fuel Depot. It has the same effect as a ammo depot only the fuel is affected.
This is a Oil Refinery. If destroyed the airfields cannot be resupplied if their Hangars are destroyed, resulting in a lower performance of aircraft taking off from those fields.
This is a parts factory. If this is destroyed and the hangars of surrounding airfields are hit, the planes may be of poor quality and perform poorly or may be leaking gas/oil.
More Coming Soon!!!!
